Many asked me through DMs that why I am not tweeting on Roopa IPS issue and is it because she was a columnist in our newspaper?
No, it is because I am in my native & don't have proper network to tweet.
Adding to @TIinExile, I hav many docs in which crackers are mentioned.
Here Marathi Poet Ekanatha describes rocket & variety of fireworks called Chandrajyoti.
Below are the list of 7 types of Fireworks.
I've to point out Roopa IPS
One Haatananka is a type of Firework that can be held in the hand & emitting a glow of firey fire sparks. 2/n
Finished? No.
Below is the chronology since 6th century as to how crackers were being used in Bhaarata.
Pls don't say these are all Chinese history. In that case you don't know about about Bhaarata at all. 3/n
In KautukaChintamani, below materials were used in the manufacture of fireworks as found in the Sanskrit verses describing the formulas: 4/n
Another Maharashtra Author Raamadasa refers to guns and fireworks in various writings. Following are the references in Raamadasa Samagra Grantha.
This can be found in Page 345, 588, 621, 623 and more. 5/5
*I need to REOPEN THIS THREAD as I've got more proof*
In Tanjore Manuscript Library there is one Sanskrit work called AakashaBairava Kalpa. There, Paatala 62 deals with several entertainment(vinodas) for the king. The following passage found describing a display of Fireworks. 6/n

The Peshwa ordered to Mahadji to give a similar display of fireworks for his entertainment. Mahadji made all preparations within 15 days and the display was carried out on a dark night before the Peshwa and his Sardars. It took place at the foot of Parvati Hills(near Poona)

Arrey Bhai, forget about display of fireworks. We even recorded methods of manufacturing diff., fireworks for Diwali. Small booklet by Lakshmana Pamji Khopkar mentioned few materials. Many of such ingredients are mentioned in KautukaChintamani Gajapati PrataapaRudradeva.

Now let's see how is it in South India.

Dear @D_Roopa_IPS, We've known each other since years. Hence I just presented what I've read from book for your reference. I've got something to say from my side too. 1. No scriptures directly use particular words like "crackers", " Sivakasi", "standard pataki" etc.
17/n
2. @TIinExile quoted from Skanda Purana and others I quoted from 1400A.D till 1900. All we mean to say is Pataki is always with us from centuries, hence cannot say it is not Hindu. 3. Beauty of Hindu Dharma is we're never dependent on one book like !zl@m.We keep on updating.
18/n
When we make mistakes Rishis used to show us the right path through Smritis. Poets work on it to beautify it to make it more dear to common people. 4. I may be wrong anywhere. But I presented what I've got. By this, once again I got an opportunity to learn something new.
19/n
5. No hard feelings @D_Roopa_IPS. Bcoz @TIinExile, me, u & many readers are in profit because of so much of knowledge exchange. 😍
All my points are taken from book "The History Of Fireworks In India" by PK Gode published by Indian Institute of Culture, Bengaluru
Jai Sriram

Call it Love J!h@d or not, but I'll just present the facts here. This happened in the Gadaga district of Karnataka.
Deceased Apoorva & mu®de® accused Ijaz were in love. When this Brahmin girl was going to college, Ijaz used to drop her home every day. She fell into the trap. 1/n
The brahmin girl "arguing my Ijaz is not like others", married him in 2018 opposing her parents.
Apoorva became Arfa Bano and started to live the life of her dream. But it didn't take much time to find out that she was the 2nd wife to Ijaz and 1st one had 3 kids too. 2/n
Since then Apoorva @ Arfa Bano had come back to her mom's place and had applied for divorce. Ijaz allegedly had forced Arfa to wear Burkha & other beliefs on her. Some say he didn't want her to learn scooty driving as well. 3/n
Don't miss this story.
Recently few peacefuls urinated inside temple & had put condom in the Hundi Box of Mangaluru's local deity Swami #Koragajja
Koragajja is also seen as avatar of Lord Shiva.
Incident happened not in one Temple, but in many.
People lodged complaint too. 1/n
But Police couldn't track these culprits. Tired of all these, bhakts asked god Koragajja himself to locate those Muzz!$ & punish them.
Then, since 3-4 days 2 Muzz!$ were coming to temple & bothering the preist they need to ask forgiveness.
Priest thought they were making fun. 2/n
But, no. They were serious. Because main guy Nawaz who had put condom in Hundi box started acting insane initially & soon that turned to blood vomit + dysentery and finally he died by banging his head to wall in his house. While dying he even told, Koragajja is angry on us. 3/n
Namaste @ShefVaidya ji, here is the video of Bhadrakali/Dakshina Kali Doddagaddhavalli Chatushkuta temple, which was built in C.E. 1113 during the rule of Hoysala Vishnuvardhana. It is a unique temple of Mahalakshmi and Bhadrakali placed in south sanctum. 1/n
Part two of the video. Officials are visiting the temple now and assessing what could've happened.
People in the video say, idol must have slipped too. As of now it is not clear how this idol destroyed. @ASIGoI must answer. 2/n
I'll keep this thread open to give complete details about the incident.
