So much of this reminds me of F+W's final years before filing for bankruptcy. Hubris, incompetence, and a dash of malfeasance.
What's especially aggravating is the clear evidence of a looong track record of bullshit enabled by publishing's love of whisper networks. It took a debut author of color going public to finally air things out, and most of y'all still won't go on the record about it. 🙄
