The Nigerian army -pride of West Africa, has sworn that never again will it allow any group of terrorists or external aggresor covet an inch of the nation’s territory.
In 2015 the military announced it was embarking on a 20-year development plan in order to restore the Nigerian army’s fighting capability and make it a force for stability in the region. The 5 point transformation agenda is as follows :

Root out corruption.
Improve the combat rediness of the Nigerian army.

Transform the army into a modern fighting force

Create an independent airwing for the army (Nigerian army aviation).

Aquire new weapons and equipment

Increase the size of its army from 150,000 men today to 250,000.
Establish a military industrial complex for the indigenous production of heavy and light weapons to meet the demands of the Nigerian armed forces.

Finding officers who could be innovative and competent enough to reorganize the troops and reverse the string of defeats our soldiers had been suffering has to be the hallmark of the President. Before now the military leadership was riddled with corruption and incompetence..
Boko Haram can do what the Nigerian military cant, use civilians as human shield and choose the battleground. The army has responded by improving their tactics. This includes only using larger, better defended bases up north.
These “Super Camps” have eliminated Boko Haram's ability to mass sufficient forces to overrun and loot army camps.

When did it become wrong to be a patriotic Nigerian? These peeps are attackingthe dignity of your country. Instead of you think you all are attacking me. Why are Nigerians allowing the beliefs that built our country to be suppressed?
Now the ability to take pride in our country and the values on which it was built are being destroyed under the dumbest and most gullible if youths in our nations history.
Nigerians have been so brainwashed and conditioned by social media that the very fabric that binds is as a nation are being slowly eliminated. If a Nigerian is offended by the Nigerian patriotism, including our flags, and beliefs, that is their problem, not the patriots.

My tweet on the NAF being the most powerful in Sub Sahara Africa didnt go down well with many Nigerians. However got a message from a South African challenging my statement, citing the SAAF Gripgen. For this reason i will explain why the NAF has overtaken the SAAF in capability.
First of all, Nigeria hasn’t been given a lot of credit as a military power given past setbacks in the war agaibst insurgency. it seems ironic that Nigeria has quietly become a significant military power in black Africa. This is evidenced best by the Nigerian Air Force.
When it comes to air-power, Nigeria is hard to beat. Part of what makes Nigeria a formidable airborne combatant is that it operates such a wide variety of aircraft than any other country besides Egypt and Algeria. Two classes of multi-role fighters are in service with the NAF

The military knocked out many Boko Haram terrorists’ hideouts in the northeast in the last one week. In Nov. 12 and Nov. 18, troops adopted sustained vigilance and offensive postures through comprehensive ground and air operations leading to the killing of some terrorists.
An IED maker was arrested, and a cache of arms and ammunition and other fighting equipment were recovered during the period.

Troops of Operation Fireball cleared BHT hideouts and neutralised two at Ladantar in Borno. Ttoops also foiled terrorists attacks on Gwoza town in Borno
where one terrorist was killed and arms and ammunition recovered on Nov. 12.

The Nigerian Air Force continued to execute successive bomb and rocket runs, on targeted terrorists’ enclaves at Njimia, Goba and Dure village areas in the Sambisa forest in Borno during the period.

Lol what is Lemon CNN saying. CNN has a culture of stereotyping Africa as a continent with everything negative. Remembee folks this was America not long ago
What you are seeing is a protester defacating on a police van in broad day light and you call Nigeria desperately underdeveloped. Has this guy even been to Nigeria before? I doubt it.
We have people who have never stepped a foot in Africa stereotyping the continent based in every negative news they can dip up. The EndSars protest was more civil than the protest that erupted in the U.S. We even had a 17 year kid shoot a protester dead while police watched.

The Nigerian military needs a super weapon that will be by far the most cost effective and ideally suited against ISWAP. A weapon that will rain pain from the sky and China can deliver this weapon.
Enter the microwave weapon, ideally suited for counter terrorism. A weapon that can stop attackers without killing them by zapping MICROWAVES through their skin.
This weapon shoots milimeter microwaves at target to cause pain under their skin. It can stop attackers without causing lethal or lasting injuries. No amount of fanatism prepares you for a microwave burst. You will buckle over vomiting writthing in pain.
