NBA is ready for expansion.

The fucking Charlotte Hornets, on merit, wouldn't have any room in the rotation for Grant Riller, Cody Martin, Terry Rozier.

Jordan Bell and Dante Exum probably don't play rotation minutes for the Cavs.

Layman might get frozen out of Minny rotation
You've got teams like Memphis which ran like 11 deep for most of the year and drafted 2 of the most NBA-ready players in the draft.
If a tanking team doesn't even have enough rotation minutes to invest in its promising young talent...
Sacramento might not have minutes for DaQuan Jeffries who could pretty much play rotation minutes for a contender as a low usage 3&D wing.

Dotson got no minutes for NY, like sure bad coaching, but still...2 of him/Ellington/Bullock were missing out on rotation minutes
Guys like Malik Monk, Caris Levert, Larry Nance, Justise Winslow, Spencer Dinwiddie, Derrick White(esp. prior to the bubble), etc. all meet thresholds to be starting calibre guys in most facets of the game, and can handle much larger ballhandling duties than they project to have
Sure its a stacked class for guards, but I count minimum 11 instant NBA-level(or can justifiable get NBA minutes) guards. My 47th ranked PG in the league(and the classification of PGs wasn't the most well-defined tbf) was Bruce Brown.
And guys like Yogi Ferrell Quinn Cook Rondo Exum Chiozza weren't in that top 47.

Then a guy like Garland, much like some of the 11 rookie guards I counted above, is worth investing real NBA minutes into, but you could argue ATM he should be capped at like 20 MPG next season.
You've of course got international guards who would come over if they were promised real rotation roles such as Campazzo and Larkin too.
Big men wise too, the depth is pretty crazy.

Clint Capela is considered an average starting level C. I ranked him as the 33rd best C in the league.

The Kings 2nd best C from this past season arguably could've been Eric Mika, G League player, based on the one game he played...
And all of Giles/Dedmon/Len are NBA level players...

You've got skilled guys like Kaminsky and Hernangomez who don't make many mistakes on defense, struggling to crack non-playoff team rotations.
Like part of this is bad NBA coaching such as playing Bismack Biyombo ever(I highly doubt he's a top 70 C in the world) but the depth is pretty real, and for probably 50% of the season Biz was lowkey playable.
And with the recent shift to heliocentrism there's like infinite passable 3&D wings that can spot up in the corner and play fairly good on-ball D.

I mentioned Jeffries; in this draft there were so many of these guys. Treveon Graham another one. Rodney McGruder another one.
Is someone like James Ennis or Tony Snell, who both started for NBA teams this past season, really better than any of those 3?
Even SG, where the lines are kinda blurred(a fair few guys I classified as SF can easily play SG e.g. PG13, Reddish, Hood) and its supposedly a bit weak talent I'd have Bullock outside the top 45 SGs, who is clearly an NBA level player

ROTY favourites?

Cole Anthony, Tyrese Haliburton two that make a fair bit of sense off the top of my head.

Okoro should get minutes from day one too.

Hayes/Ball get free reign, tho I imagine their Y1 shooting splits rival MCW.
Other intriguing ones: Deni(smart enough to get mins from day 1 but Bonga, TBJ prob better), Kira, Flynn(if FVV goes, idk enough about his D tho to know if Nurse plays him from day 1), Terry(Mavs could use a shotmaking guard), Maledon, Maxey(could start from day 1 IMO)
Overall my top 5 is probably:

1. Cole
2. Haliburton
3. Maxey
4. Flynn
5. Hayes(with this long off-season I predict the J has taken a big step, and his shot selection is far less erratic than Melo).

Need yours @Herrojuku @geola388

Bucks fans FR think Bogie was an upgrade on DiVincenzo...
It CAN'T be this one-sided given how good(if overrated) DDV is and how mediocre Bogie is.

Bucks fans don't know what's good for them, reacting too much to a playoff series they would've won with 15/30 NBA coaches, minimum
If Donte's 3PT% goes up by like 2% he's just better than Bogie and its not even debatable.

Still think Jrue/DDV/Middleton/Giannis/Brook is the best starting 5 in the world. They needed bench pieces regardless
Like maybe the benefit is Bogie is physically bigger/stronger than Donte so they can go Giannis at the 5 and switch more.

But they can still do that by adding 2 wings in FA...

And their plan A of drop is insanely good so idk why you'd be unwilling to stick with that

Legitimately, I would like to see Melo continue to play the pass-first floor general style he seemed to play a lot of the time in the NBL.

Because Miles, PJ are two guys you can run your offense through via the low post.
So sometimes in HC all Melo needs to do is pick and pop with those 2.

Or PnR, other team switches, then feed the big strong Hornets forward down low and relocate.
Its not best value for pick 3 even in a shit draft, but a bigger Ricky Rubio that can at least make defensive rotations is a legitimately useful piece for this Hornets team because of our talented forwards.

That's how I want to see Melo bring from day 1

Facts man, GTJ is the POA guy next to Dame.

CJ for AG and TRoss I reckon.
Point AG, can run GTJ/Dame/Ross off screens. Defensively means you have 2-3 ish guys(RoCo AG GTJ) who can defend POA in a pinch
Save Dame’s energy Q1-3 coz Q4 he can’t have CJ giving him a rest, he’ll need to do all that heavy lifting late game.

If Kings decide to try make playoffs, Donte could make starting Belly viable.

With DDV, Bazemore, Holmes we’d have 3 genuinely elite defenders. Hield, Bags, Barnes all know their rotations. If Fox doesn’t need to carry the whole offense, he’s a menace at the POA(genuinely).
You’ve got DaQuan as that low usage role player who just knows how to play the game, not dissimilar to Baze. He’s also a good defender.

Having this increased IQ and athleticism helps cover Belly’s weaknesses. Belly when locked in/not fatigued knows his rotations
Assuming #12 => Vassell(most realistic pick at this point? @KangzDraft)

PG: Fox (32) / DDV (16)
SG: Hield (32) / DDV (16)
SF: Bazemore (24) / Vassell (24)
PF: Barnes (20-26) / Bagley (16) / Belly (6-12)
C: Holmes (32) / Bagley(12-16) / Len (0-4) / Belly (0-4)
