8am Lola Update—no vomiting for 8 hours. Still on an IV and meds in intensive doggy care receiving fluids but the vet says no vomiting for 8 hours is a really good sign. They assure me she is comfy. This vet called her “our girl” and I 😭burst into tears cause YES
Update in 8hrs
8am Petey update—still no signs. He’s eating. Bowls haven’t been loose. He got me up 6x last night pretending to need to potty to look for her. Finally I realized this wouldn’t stop until I held him and showed him the backyard and laundry room are empty so he can stop looking.
“Hold him”— he can’t go in either laundry or backyard because it’s still infected so I held him and took him around so he could see it all. He’s dramatic, jerking his head around looking for her like I magically hid her from him somehow.
Today another doggy another vet. Pete is going to his primary for boosters to try to build up immunity to this thing as quick as possible so we can hopefully fight it. The hope is if he gets it, the boosters will reduce how deadly it is. I need this to be so. Send love.

I saw her and she immediately got out of the cage and curled into a ball in my lap, she was willing to eat as long as I fed it to her while she was in my lap. So she ate with me but has since stopped eating again. No interest in drinking. The vet can’t get her to drink or eat.
The vet thinks she’s depressed away from “her person” assuming she’s been my dog for years. She must have imprinted on me in a week because when I left, she cried and cried— could still hear the crying outside of the building. She picked me— I am her person.
No update really- her refusal to eat or drink is bad, meds seem to be working because she’s not vomiting or having diarrhea so that’s good, but without eating or drinking she will dehydrate which is the main cause of death in parvo cases. So we are still in the woods.

Posted a few pic of Lola taken Sunday in her gofundme. She’s so beautiful.
Flower childLola
All smiles the day she got to her new home, discovered toys and squeaky balls, belly rubs, grass, and being a pup.

Breaking my heart how things turned so fast from these good faces to the face I saw when I left her today.

Update on this baby— she has parvo and has potentially exposed my boy as well. She’s not feeling well and I’m doing everything I can to get her the care she needs for best chance of recovery. Send good vibes for us please!
I do not neglect my dog btw. With the pandemic and hurricanes getting into a vet for anything has been extremely difficult.
So there has been a couple of month lapse that now will is costly. I’m pretty angry with myself so please no one shame me further, thanks.

Found an abandoned dog tied at a house after the family moved out. I’m so embarrassed of my dog’s NO MANNERS—he is crying for her, barking, grunting at her until she acknowledges him demanding she play, licking her while she sleeps, oh and humping her head incessantly.
I tell him often that this is why he doesn’t have dog friends.
I rescued her because I couldn’t bare the situation she was in but immediately have contacted rescues for her. She’s so sweet so I know I can find a good home for her. My boy seems to have other plans in mind

By far the most frustrating thing about this job today is:

1. Getting ADA to stipulate to an emergency bond reduction
2. Types motion and order, walks directly to Judge's desk
3. Talks to family of client, bondsman, and client-- puts pieces in place, just need a signature
4. THEN ADA & Judge don't come to work for 2 days
5. don't answer phone calls/texts for 2mdays
6. So you spend an entire 2 days working on this already agreed upon BR, trying to track down Judge & ADA (harassing staff), explaining to client while the order sits on J's desk
and everyone around you consistently acting like you're the issue for bothering them.

+ explaining to Client that yes it was agreed upon, yes the order is on the judge's desk, people won't just sign a damn paper after all the actual work has been done for them.
