I’ve been complaining about this mental exhaustion and it is because this whole thing is a mess. There’s really no time to “rejoice” over a release because you are immediately on to another.
Under the tweet of celebrating Eromz’s release, I was still getting tags of “what of x?” “What of y?”
Of course, I don’t mind being tagged but we need to constantly be reminded that there’s only so much individuals can do. Institutions are the ones we should hold to account.
Everyone working on this still has their day job. Was in court all day yesterday trying to perfect bail and then to Panti. All that while, I was still working my day job. Because of course, life is still going on amidst all of this.
And I personally had an already very busy one.
What I’m trying to say is that what we are doing is a good thing. But the sad truth is that it is not sustainable in the long run no matter how you look at it. We need to demand more from the people whose jobs it is for these things to work.

People have been amazing in helping track Eromz. Someone saw him on their flight yesterday. Another person sent a video. Another person saw the car that came to pick him. Another person saw him in court today & alerted us immediately. Confirmation of his location is crowdsourced.
Is this normal? NO. He has lawyers on record and his lawyers should be told where he is being moved to and why. People are being kept in the dark. Why?
Is this weird? YES. Very weird.
But thank you all for being total rockstars!
And the plot thickens. They tried to lie to journalists that he wasn’t taken to Abuja but that’s just ridiculous because our lawyers were with him in Abuja. Here’s a video of him arriving Lagos.

Things you should know about nasal piercings.
1. Yes it is very painful. But you won’t die don’t worry.
2. The after care is a lot. If you aren’t careful, you will get an infection or keloids. Tea tree oil helped me avoid this.
3. It takes a while to heal. A long while.
4. One day when wearing a piece of clothing from the top, it will get stuck on your piercing without you knowing and when you pull down with force, you will feel a type of pain you have never felt in your life. Yes, this will definitely happen to you so brace up.
5. One day your stud will get missing and you will have a near-heart attack wondering if it has entered your nasal passage.

6. If you take out/lose your stud, it takes less than 24 hours for the piercing to close for good. Closure can happen in as little as 2 hours.

Everyone cannot form one political party. One political party is essentially a tyranny because many will still be oppressed. What we need to do is adopt the attitude of demanding accountability from everyone in leadership. Start from your local govt. Participate.
Folks need to know they cannot get into office and just do whatever they like. That era has passed.
Your legislators, call them and ask them what they are doing. Let them be on notice that people are watching. That’s how you erase bad governance not by forming a political party.
If you form a political party with no attitude of accountability, we will find ourselves back here.
New political parties have been formed many times in our history and yet here we are.
Folks in governance do not feel accountable. That’s the main problem.

Good morning my people. I’ve had some time to collect my thoughts so thought to share this.
First of all, the events of Tuesday 20.10.20 wasn’t anything I thought could happen. That fire will be opened on peaceful protesters, sitting on the floor & singing the national anthem.
I didn’t imagine it. And in many ways it still feels unreal. But what is undeniably real is the grief of the families who lost someone that day & in the chaos that followed. My deepest condolences to everyone mourning. No one deserves to die that way. And we will not forget them.
In the last two weeks, we came together to pursue one goal #EndSARS. Every morning, we woke up with that singular objective. Many took to the streets to express their constitutional right and some worked at the back end making sure peaceful protesters had enough resources.

Next phase. Evidence collection. If you know anyone who was a victim or witness to Lekki toll yesterday (especially those in hospital), please take a video of their testimony on exactly what happened last night, (do not share publicly) and store it in the cloud.
This is a simple format you can follow for the interview.
1. Tell me your name
2. What is today’s date
3. Where you at Lekki toll on the 20th of October 2019
4. In your own words tell me what you witnessed.
Send it to a few contacts that you trust (they shouldn’t share publicly too) and should also store in the cloud.
We need to decentralize our evidence collection & storage. Thank you 🙏🏽

UPDATE. Better late than never.

Here’s what the #EndSARS legal team was up to yesterday (10/17)

GWARINPA Abuja - Joseph Onyilo and 4 others were released. The N37k Joseph’s family paid was also refunded. The 4 were
Abel, Micheal, Ameh and DD.
SHOMOLU LAGOS - Two brothers Niyi and Temitope Ibrahim were released.

IYAGANKU IBADAN - the remaining 5 persons in detention were released.
Cases we are still tracking.

SHOMOLU: we got a report of more protesters being at the same station, although we sent a lawyer there to confirm, we still do not have any names.

BWARI ABUJA: we got a report of a Ehbodaghe Blessing who was arrested. We are yet to locate her.
