Every other day, there are fresh cases of minor Hindu girls trapped in love, kidnapped for conversion-nikah. Dalit commission, minority commission, women commission hv raised the issue. Instead of rescuing such girls on priority, CMs are fighting over what name to give such cases
I have documented so many cases where police don't act fearing their action would be called communal. Also don't act because they don't even know that under-18 girls don't elope but are kidnapped & must be rescued from kidnapper. Wish the CMs focussed on training police instead
The issue is being so badly politicised. A move against crimes involving interfaith relationships - such as trapping by faking identity, pressure to convert etc - is being presented as a move against interfaith relationships itself. How is it the same thing?

A short story:

A young man from a UP village near Nepal border, has been helping me on and off in local reporting. He travels to nearby areas and get the info I need. He takes a day off from job for my work. In return, I do what he asks - recharge his prepaid phone with Rs 449 +
In last 7-8 months, he’s done it some 3-4 times
A day before Diwali, I gave him some work. Today, he told me he has lost his job for taking too many offs.
I met him guy during reporting in that village last year. Never asked him what he does for a living. Now I learn he worked +
at a toll booth. 7 day working, no off even on Diwali. Pay only Rs 4000 a month. He has a 2-yr-old daughter. Turns out the only offs he has taken was for my work. I felt very bad & told him I’ll take care of his salary till he finds new job. But there is no work in the village +

I wrote to several publications, including @LiveLawIndia, but none has replied to me on the misreporting I pointed out regarding an Allahabad HC order

I have given at least 25 bail orders since 2009 that has the exact same content as what is now being passed off as “court rap” +
For details, you can read my report here + swarajyamag.com/media/no-allah…
The bail order that media is reporting as “Allahabad HC rap on misuse of cow slaughter act” was given on 19 Oct ‘20

Below is bail order on 18 Oct- same to same as 19 Oct one

Also attaching the one given on 23 Oct, that proves the content was lawyer submission. See part in green

(Reuploading thread due to a technical problem earlier)
I am giving 10 bail orders by Allahabad HC in cow slaughter cases in 2019. The content that of lawyer submission on behalf of accused in ALL these orders has now been WRONGLY reported as “court observations” by all media

Media jumped onto an order by Allahabad HC on “misuse of cow slaughter act against innocents” despite the fact that exact same content is being given as lawyer submission to court since 2009
But, it hardly reported the damning observations by Haryana HC on cow smuggling
See this:
The above order was in March 2018.
Below one is April 2018

Court used words like “menace”, “alarming”, “complete inaction on part of police”, “quite disturbing” for rampant cow smuggling and slaughter in Mewat. Forget page 1, most media ignored it. Such love for cow slaughterers
Court said “situation is quite dismal”, while making observations on police handling of cow slaughter cases. After all, not even a single conviction had been done in cow slaughter cases in Mewat in 4 years.

I feel this tweet was done with good intentions but got to finally call out the flawed reasoning

Is there any data/proven correlation that shows men worshipping Hindu goddesses have highest propensity to rape? Is there anything in sacred texts or rituals that can be shown +
to be inspiring such men to rape?
None. Then why force that link at all?

I have never felt unsafe in a temple full of male devotees worshipping Hindu goddesses. If goddess-worshipping men were committing most of the rapes, temples of goddesses would be MOST unsafe +
Instead, I hv felt very unsafe in a place full of drunk men. And I can’t even think of entering cinema hall screening a sleazy film. Why not link rape to activities like watching porn and trash Bollywood films, and drinking alcohol that ‘progressives’ promote - activities which +
