History that deserves to be remembered! CAUGHT IN A LIE.

In 2016 the NAF was making huge gains in the campaign against BHT. The Jihadi group lost a 3rd of its commanders, forcing the group deeper into the forest were several fighters succumbed to snake bites.
Demoralised Boko Haram did what it has never done. It releasead a tape accusing the military of killing some of the abducted Chibok girls. Lo & behold within 24 hours Amnesty International echoed this allegation that Nigerian troops targeted and killed some of the abducted girls
Who believes a terrorist group over a soveriegn government? Amnesty International!

After dealing a deadly blow on militants in Arepo, areas of Ogun and Lagos states, the NAF released a video footage of its operations in the northeast and south-south regions of the country

A dramatic mission conducted in the early hours of October 31, 2020, saw members of the elite SEAL Team Six rescue American citizen Philip Walton, who was kidnapped in Niger and then taken to Nigeria. News of Walton’s safe extraction threw the spotlight directly upon
the daring mission brought together a raft of air assets, including CV-22B Ospreys and MC-130J IIs, as well as  KC-135R tankers to support their long range mission. The raiding party of special operators parachuted into an area near where Walton was being held, probably from
the MC-130Js, with the CV-22Bs then safely recovering the assault team and the hostage. The CV32Bs Ospreys and their MC-130J Commando aircraft used in the mission came from bases in the
UK and Spain.

A couple days ago i thought the likely hood of the U.S and UK imposing sanctions on Nigeria was slim. I regarded petitions as grandstanding. However in the space of 48 hours the number of signatures has jumped from 213, 000 to 554,150 and debate has been scheduled for 23rd
Nigeria is a sovereign state with a population larger than that of Britain and France combined, not a colony of Britain. Amnesty International, the organisation spearheading calls for sanctions againt Nigeria is firing on all cylinders. Such the hypocrisy.
They are trying to potray the worlds 4th largest democracy, where the rule of law is upheld, a free press. Insulting the president does not land you in jail much less executed by firing squad, as a gross human rights violator, akin to a failed state.

Finding officers who could be innovative and competent enough to reorganize the troops and reverse the string of defeats our soldiers had been suffering has to be the hallmark of the President. Before now the military leadership was riddled with corruption and incompetence..
Boko Haram can do what the Nigerian military cant, use civilians as human shield and choose the battleground. The army has responded by improving their tactics. This includes only using larger, better defended bases up north.
These “Super Camps” have eliminated Boko Haram's ability to mass sufficient forces to overrun and loot army camps.

The Nigerian army -pride of West Africa, has sworn that never again will it allow any group of terrorists or external aggresor covet an inch of the nation’s territory.
In 2015 the military announced it was embarking on a 20-year development plan in order to restore the Nigerian army’s fighting capability and make it a force for stability in the region. The 5 point transformation agenda is as follows :

Root out corruption.
Improve the combat rediness of the Nigerian army.

Transform the army into a modern fighting force

Create an independent airwing for the army (Nigerian army aviation).

Aquire new weapons and equipment

Increase the size of its army from 150,000 men today to 250,000.
