Yes — and, unlike Facebook, YouTube doesn’t even pretend to give a crap.
I’m sure this label they have on the video really helps. 🤪🤪🤪 Image
Same with OANN. YouTube doesn’t give a damn.
It took coverage from CNN and calls from @MarkWarner’s office for YouTube to take anything close to decisive action for @unfairlyaccused and his family.…
Worth watching this terrible interview YouTube CEO gave a few weeks before the election.

Twitter confirming this evening that accounts like @POTUS, @FLOTUS, @PressSec will all be handed over to the Biden administration on Inauguration Day.
"Twitter is actively preparing to support the transition of White House institutional Twitter accounts on January 20th, 2021. As we did for the presidential transition in 2017, this process is being done in close consultation with the National Archives and Records Administration"
What happens to the old accounts?

They get archived -- like @POTUS44 and @FLOTUS44.

Hmm. So Facebook fact-checkers have flagged as false a YouTube video from OANN with bogus election rigging claims.

The YouTube link is labeled as false if a regular Facebook user shares it -- but NOT if Trump shares it. Like he did here:
But this is in Facebook's rules....
Meanwhile on YouTube the video has no fact-check and has more than 1 million views. @SusanWojcicki

Since we’re going to be talking about god damn labels a lot…

Twitter and Facebook’s labels are very different.

Twitter directly warns the post may contain misinformation and restricts sharing of the post.

Facebook does not.
See the difference in language?
Not all labels are equal!

And, yes it is pretty bleak we are talking about this.

#BREAK Election eve and Twitter has labeled a Trump tweet as misleading. Removed ability for tweet to be retweeted. Image
Facebook also added this label to the same post on its platform. Image
Facebook put labels on all election posts, but this one is a little different as it was applied under this rule. Image

NEW: Google says 25,000 emails were sent to Gmail users in a suspected Iranian campaign targeting the 2020 election.

Google's spam systems stopped 90% of the messages, the company said.

Meaning some 2,500 American Gmail users may have received the messages.
Obviously messages passed through other providers like Microsoft. We've asked them for comment.

Here's the latest on what we know.…
These were pretty scary messages for people to get in their inboxes. Some of them included people's home addresses.

I think the only way these fake Proud Boys emails could have hurt Trump is if the media fell for them and reported them as being real

But I didn't see anyone doing that -- news outlets took steps to look into the emails and figured out something fishy was going on.
That would have prompted renewed scrutiny of Trump's embrace of the Proud Boys at the last debate.

Proud Boys immediately denied they were responsible for these emails. Obviously we can't take a hate group at its word.
But the technical clues in the metadata of the emails news outlets obtained from voters supported what the Proud Boys were saying -- that this wasn't them and that someone was posing as them.
