On the ground in Georgia today in support of the GOP Candidates in the #GASen runoff- @GOPChairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
McDaniel speaking to a crowd in Marietta. Neither of the two Republicans candidates are here with her.
She promises “I’m gonna be in your state so much.”
Mocking Dem candidate @ReverendWarnock- McDaniel tells the crowd not to be swayed by Warnock’s ads with his dog.
“Just because there is a nice looking man with a dog licking his face- that doesn’t mean we should vote for him.”
McDaniel now taking questions from supporters.. and they are ALL about Trump’s claims the election was run fraudulently.
McDaniel is being peppered with questions about the accusations about fraud.
One suggested that the voting machines counted votes that weren’t there.
McDaniel conceded- the audit did not show that.
Crowd did not like the response.
Another person asks- “Why should we vote in this election when we know it’s already decided?”
McDaniel responded- “It’s not!”
(This btw.. is the GOP’s worst nightmare in Georgia).
One person from the crowd yells out as McDaniel was speaking-
“Kemp is a crook!!”
(Brian Kemp is the GOP Governor and a committed Trump supporter)
McDaniel is now pleading with the crowd to focus their energy on the Senate race and promises of they will worry about Election fraud issues “later”.
As McDaniel wraps up her remarks she tells the crowd she will tell the President about how fired up the crowd was. The crowd erupts in a “Trump, Trump, Trump” chant.
Remember she was here in support of Perdue and Loeffler.
Afterward- I asked @GOPChairwoman if the President’s consistent attacking of the election process could endanger voter turnout and hurt the GOP in the runoff.
She argued the passion for Trump will translate to Perdue and Loeffler.
Here is video from one of the exchanges. A supporter asks why the RNC is not looking into the allegations with the voting machines. McDaniel stated flatly there is no evidence of that.
Then someone asks why they should vote in this election when it’s “already decided”.

I just spoke to @SpeakerJohnson about Wray’s testimony on bullet vs shrapnel:
“We've all seen the video we've seen the analysis we've heard it from multiple sources in different angles that a bullet went through his ear. I'm not sure it matters that much,” he told me.
.@SpeakerJohnson said Director Wray has a “credibility problem”
“His responses were apparently inaccurate and he was not forthcoming with some of the information that we would expect. There's a lot of frustration and concern about the leadership with these agencies.”
Sen. Maggie Hassan offering up a preview of her plans for tonight’s US Senate debate w/ Don Bolduc in New Hampshire.
The bulk of Sen. Maggie Hassan’s pre-debate presser was an outline of what she called Don Bolduc’s “extremism” she outlined his past statements on the 2020 election, privatization of entitlement programs and abortion.
Hassan said his positions are out of step with voters.
I asked Hassan to specifically respond to Bolduc “not backing down” from his comments about children using litter boxes in schools and the Senator called it a “harmful and outrageous conspiracy theory.”
Hello from New Hampshire!
We are following the candidates for US Senate today who are locked in a tight race that will go a long way to determining who controls the chamber.
Incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan is burnishing her moderate credentials by campaigning w/ MT Sen. Jon Tester.
Hassan opens her remarks with Tester by telling him..
“Jon welcome to New Hampshire where our mountains are older and better.”
The duo is now talking to the crowd about their work on the Veteran’s Committee of which Tester is the chair.
MORE: Hassan- who has dropped a final pitch TV ad where she looks into the camera and promises to continue to “stand up to the President.” Doubled down on her separation from Biden to me.. listing off all the ways she’s criticized “the president when he is wrong.”

Here we go.. today’s hearing of the January 6th Select Committee is underway on Capitol Hill.
Four minutes in.. first Pat Cipollone mention..
Liz Cheney says his deposition "met our expectations."
She also promises we will see part of his testimony during today's hearing.
We knew that Eugene Scalia the former labor Secretary and son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had testified.. we learned for the first time today that he personally reached out to Donald Trump and encouraged him to concede the election.
NEW: A ton of new detail behind what was (and was not) asked of Pat Cipollone by the 1/6 committee.
Committee sources say his testimony reinforced their view of Trump’s dereliction of duty.
Sources tell @CNN the committee did not ask Cipollone about Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony that he warned her that Trump going to the Capitol would lead to them being “charged with every crime imaginable".
If they had- they say he would not have confirmed it.
Also important to note that Hutchinson told that testimony as part of sworn, public testimony.
Not one witness under oath has refuted any of her testimony.
MORE-> Rep. Adam Schiff responds to Chair Thompson saying the committee will not make a criminal referral of anyone to DOJ: "I don't know that the committee has reached a position on whether we make a referral or what the referrals might be."
Schiff..
"I thought we were deferring that decision until we concluded our investigation. At least that's my understanding."
And this from @RepLizCheney.. directly refuting with Chairman Thompson's earlier statement to reporters :
