Watch: In Carencro, LA., a city councilwoman refused to wear a mask at the last 3 council meetings despite city hall requiring it. The city manager confronted her. She said it was a personal decision, then, maskless, got in his face. Ps: The city’s mayor is hospitalized w/ COVID
Full disclosure: I grew up in Carencro and it was someone in my hometown who reached out to me because they were both embarrassed and appalled at how Ms. Guidry has behaved inside city hall where the public is required to wear a mask but she refuses to.
The city manager, Don Chauvin, could’ve had Guidry removed from the meeting. He did not. Louisiana has a statewide mask mandate.
According to the city manager, at the last city council meeting, council-member Guidry coughed repeatedly & 9 to 10 days later the mayor had Covid. He can’t prove that the council-member had Covid & infected the mayor but those are the facts, according to the city manager.
Good news...the mayor, Glenn Brasseaux, is in a private room at the hospital. He was initially admitted into the ICU but is now out of ICU & getting better, I’m told. carencro.org/city-governmen…
The councilwoman is seen on tape saying there’s no law requiring her to wear a mask. Months ago Louisiana’s governor imposed a mask mandate.
I was just told that the mayor, who is in the hospital fighting Covid, sits right alongside councilmember Guidry at council meetings. It was Guidry who, according to the city manager, was coughing repeatedly at a recent meeting. The Mayor fell sick with Covid 9 to 10 days later.
Update: the Louisiana Fire Marshall’s was contacted by the Carencro fire chief who asked for guidance as to enforcement of the Governors statewide mask mandate which applies to government buildings. I’m told the executive order doesn’t specify penalties in govt buildings.
So the Louisiana fire marshal advised the Carencro fire chief that if the Councilwoman were to return without a mask she could be forcibly removed and cited for trespassing by the local officials. Will they do that? It remains to be seen ... if she returns without a mask.
Update: I heard back, today, from Don Chauvin, the city manager in Carencro, LA. I asked he’ll do if councilwoman Kim Guidry shows up at city hall without a mask, again. He said: “My plan, if the need arises, would be to contact the Carencro Police Dept for assistance.”
Guidry could be charged with trespassing since the city has a mask mandate in place in all city government buildings, not to mention the Governor has a mask mandate in place for all private businesses and government buildings, statewide.
The next city council meeting is January 18th, 2021. We’ll see then if the councilwoman shows up wearing a mask. To date, the councilwoman has not responded to my request for comment.

As of today, Louisiana is the first state in the country to require that the 10 Commandments to be displayed in every classroom in the state. On the flip side, Louisiana is ranked last in the U.S. in crime and corrections, 47th in education, 46th in health care, 49th in infrastructure, and 49th for the overall state of the economy. fox8live.com/2024/05/16/lou…
“The measure in Louisiana requires that the commandments be displayed in each classroom of every public elementary, middle and high school, as well as public college classrooms. The posters must be no smaller than 11 by 14 inches and the commandments must be “the central focus of the poster” and “in a large, easily readable font.” nytimes.com/2024/06/19/us/…
Louisiana’s Governor said: “I can’t wait to be sued.”
He later said: “If you want to respect the rule of law,” he said, “you’ve got to start from the original law giver, which was Moses.”
ABSURD & LAUGHABLE: A Louisiana public high school principal allegedly told the student government president that she was kicked out of student government and that he wouldn’t help her with college scholarships because the student was seen on video Twerking at a private party. The principal allegedly said the female student wasn’t “living in the Lord’s way” and that the video was inappropriate.
“..He told her she wasn’t living in the Lord’s way and questioned who her friends were and if they followed the Lord. She said she didn’t know how to answer that and they said it’s a yes or no question. Meanwhile, she’s sobbing.”
Rachel Timonet said St. Pierre printed out Bible verses and highlighted sections. Most devastating to Kaylee, he told her she was no longer eligible for student of the year...”

BREAKING: Travis Ikeguchi has been named as the man who shot and killed Lauri Carleton outside her store in Cedar Glen, Calif. Ikeguchi tore down a pride flag outside of Carleton's store before killing her. An X account matching that name shows this as his most recent post. It shows fire destroying a pride flag. The day before the shooting, the suspects family reported him missing to police.
The suspects X account is filled with homophobic ratings, anti vaccine propaganda, and religious ramblings. His X bio reads: There is only one way to the path of salvation and to have eternal life and that is through Jesus Christ. And yes, the path is narrow.
Hertz rental car employees in Louisiana treat a Puerto Rican man like he’s a foreigner and deny him a rental car that he’s already paid for. That’s the gist and facts of the story. But it doesn’t in there. Watch for the resolution and takeaway.

Better yet, look at the video of the arrest. The officers told the ladies they were trespassing on PUBLIC PROPERTY.
