Geto didn’t realize that though Gojou did not curse “at” him, he did unintentionally “curse” him in the end.

Gojou didn’t let anyone else handle Geto’s body & couldn’t let it be disposed of as it should’ve been. But because of that, his body is now being used and corrupted.

A cruel irony, as he caused Geto to be trapped not unlike how Yuta had trapped Rika by loving her too much.

Gojou was unable to condemn or reprimand him, but instead could only give affectionate words to comfort his friend before he died.

He could never let go of their friendship, couldn’t say harsh things to him at the end. That love was the figurative “curse”, the thing that

they are all now being punished for.

Literal curses are born from negative emotions, but sometimes it’s love and compassion that have the most cruel and binding consequences.

Learning to let go is the most difficult part of love. Gojou might’ve thought he was letting go..

..of Geto when he killed him, but his words and actions before and after prove that he still hasn’t been able to let go of him quite enough (if there’s even such thing as “enough”, or if that’s even possible to “let go” of such an important person/relationship.)
