In World War I, we frequently had the phenomenon known as "Broken faces" that's because people would get hit with bullets or shrapnell and it would disfigure their face but not kill them.
Interestingly, according to Herbery Apothacary, the West German newspaper seems to have a far better grasp of events compared to publications like @mronline and @newrepublic
