I KNOW this is unfair as a comparison.
The English decided that feeding dead sheep to cattle was safe. The English decided killing badgers would end TB.
The English wanted to be first to vaccinate people.
I hope to trot not run.
I know the UK rush to approve, rush to vaccinate is WRONG. It sens a wring message. Why is the EMA ( which is 27 nations all with their own national approval agencies) slower. ?
It is being careful.
GB introduced a "law" that allows manufacturers to be free of litigation . GB used the clause "immediate damage in circumstance". That was written with war, earthquake, ebola in mind.
EMA has not.
EMA, rightly (in my opinion) has waited to see full evaluation of all clinical trials rather than play flag waving, dangerous politics.
Across the world, GB is being seen as a potentially dangerous experiment.

Important discussion next week within the special committee to implement the Northern Irish protocol.
You'll have to be patient with me 'cos it's complicated so I am going to simplify to my level . One example.
A milk tanker wanders around the border area in Ireland and collects milk from 30 farmers. He heads back to the creamery. It produces various base products. Some go back across the border and become cheese or whey used in livestock feeds and human feeds.
Some stays "south" and becomes butter, cheese and, most importantly infant formula. The latter is sold worldwide at high value.

As a political science lecturer. (it seems you can invent such qualifications on twitter), I muse about PR in GB (I have to exclude the enclave as it's "special").
So, as far as I see.
UKIP gets 5% of votes=5% of seats.
BNP gets 5 % of votes= 5% of seats
Farage ego party ( hard to keep up with names ) gets 12% of votes= 12% of seats.
Lefty party gets 12% of votes =12 % of seats.
Middle left gets 8 % of votes =8 % of seats.

so, 54% done.
the remaining 46% divided by toraigh and labouring.
Then! the voters get to hear actual manifestos and see who makes a coalition with who.
The system stops the fringe lunatics hiding in the two big parties and drags them into the cold light of day for scrutiny and examination.

I take note that a visa is required for UK citizens from January 1st 2022. It was supposed to be 2021 but brexit and covid got in the way. There will be a fee €5 and is valid for 5 years. There is also an extensive background check. Criminal convictions is a "NO".
British people find it hard to get a visa to Canada,USA,Australia, New Zealand with their convictions but WERE able to wander around Europe. That ends next year.
I call it "reverse patelism"
