As long as there is still hope for a sinner to repent.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14
The purposes and promises of the Father and the Son are identical.
God is omnipotent and unchanging and that His intentions will all be fulfilled in due time.
Because He did not want the sinner to die, God did everything in His power to save him from death.
However, Peter realizes that some will reject the plan of salvation and thus be lost.
Peter makes it clear that God's promise of Christ's return will surely be fulfilled. Any apparent procrastination is due to God's desire to leave the door of
salvation open as long as there is still hope for a sinner to repent.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness.
2 Peter 3:9-11

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16,17
Many who do not understand the Bible always take advantage of its context, they do not study the Bible alone but repeat the false teachings of false pastors ... you can not grow spiritually and you will not understand what spirit you have, why ?!
because the Bible clearly says that there are seductive spirits that distract Christians from the path of truth, and they believe that it is the work of the Holy Spirit.

We must study the word of God because it is full of grace and truth and then the Holy Spirit leads

Whereby we know that it is the last time.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been
of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
1 John 2:18,19

The main concern of Bible writers was spiritual, not chronological, that they sought to prepare believers to meet
Jesus, not to give them chronological information about the last days.
The faithful had been well instructed in the events of the last days. It is good to remember that the first antichrist was Satan, who opposed Christ through various human agents.

So the last shall be first, and the first last.

And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto
us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:6,7 Image
A person's claim to fellowship with God must be demonstrated by its practical results. It will be a life with two aspects - thought and deed, prayer and work.
Putting God's presence into practice means always being aware that, by His Holy Spirit, He is close to us.
Every thought, every word, every deed reflects the consciousness of His presence and of His eye, which sees everything.
The darkness of sin hinders spiritual development, and nourished sin destroys spiritual discernment. Image
