I'm definitely in a coma, exhibit N
honestly everything that happens in 2021 is exactly what would happen if your half-gone brain was just desperately trying to pull material together from the memories it can still access for a dream plot
“Pulp Fiction, the rona, that Rite Aid down the street? We’ve got ourselves an episode.”
"QAnon, the Vikings, U.S. Capitol, Donald Trump."
"Conan the Barbarian. Nazi Germany. Joe Biden. The Election."
Trying to recall other episodes from our 'I'm in a coma' series without using the search function and giving up

We should probably all get used to the following:

Trump probably won't be the GOP standard-bearer in 2024.

Hawley probably won't be.

Cruz probably won't be.

It'll probably be somebody worse.
When does the guy in the vikings cosplay get out of prison, exactly?
"President Q Shaman, do you have any regrets at all about authorizing that drone strike on The Hague to take out the satanic pedophile cabal when all it hit was a hospital?"

Will never get over how, for ToJ era Rawls, human society is basically just a big corporation for generating stuff (not just goods and services, but prestigious jobs, etc.), and the real aim of justice is to ascertain how to divvy up the plunder.

It’s legitimately perverse.
The real break from the Aristotelian tradition is that the latter sees society as a scheme of cooperation without which distinctively *human* life is impossible--no man is an island, and so on--and that to pursue human life in society immerses one in a thick web of obligation.
Aristotle was really a comparative politics scholar. He sent underlings out to bring back data on the constitutions and institutions of the polities of the Greek world. To be immersed in a society was to be immersed in a *particular* society, with given norms and institutions.

Imagine you're speaking to a friend who just spent the last week on a mountain with no cell reception.
the only place I can imagine you can even find any common ground to start a conversation would be, like, "Well, everybody's mad at Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley again . . ."
"So Donald Trump may have done a no-no last Wednesday..."

Confession: the elevator in my building is out and I haven’t so much as been down to the lobby of my building to retrieve packages in like four days
What’s going to chase me out into the world is the fact that I’m out of milk and Coca Cola
I go through like a liter of coke a day 365 days a year so if you’re thinking of getting in a long term relationship with me I need to know what you think about my looming type 2 diabetes ahead of time
