Afghan intelligence (NDS) claims it has foiled an Islamic State (ISKP) plot to assassinate US ambassador to Afghanistan: 1tvnews.af/12/01/2021/713…

I'm not sure if it is related to this arrest (see attached tweet) of ISKP member in Nangarhar but this raid also took place in Kama:
Oh, so Afghan intelligence (NDS) went from "we have arrested one ISKP member who wanted to assassinate US ambassador" to "we have arrested 4 ISKP members".

I'm seeing this whole thing more as politics being played out than an actual terror plot foiled. edition.cnn.com/2021/01/13/mid…
I guess someone must have told NDS that nobody will take the one-man plot to assassinate US ambassador seriously. So they added three more to it. Clever 😄

Pakistani Far-Right Islamist group Jamiat Ulema Islam, led by Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman, has announced an extremist rally against Israel "Death to Israel Rally" in Sindh province of Pakistan on January 21st, 2021.
Pakistani political analysts believe that Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman, who is part of the Opposition alliance against the govt, has called for anti-Israel rally to reinstate his anti-Israel credentials in domestic politics after recently his multiple associates came out as pro-Israel.
At least one former associate of Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman recently admitted to Pakistani media that he had traveled to Israel several years ago with permission of the Mullah as well as the Pakistani PM at the time, Mr Nawaz Sharif.

PAKISTAN:

Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) says it has arrested a man named Umar bin Khalid for funding Islamic State.

The accused is a student of an engineering university in Karachi and was in contact with terrorists in Syria and Pakistan.

The above news report does not say which university the IS financier Umar bin Khalid belonged to.

But I can confirm that he was a student of Karachi city's NED University of Engineering and Technology. The university has produced several jihadists in past years. #PAKISTAN Image
NED University of Engineering and Technology is considered one of the top engineering universities of Pakistan.

Yet it faces a deep problem with radicalization among its students. So far several engineering students went on to join terrorist groups.
