"Video from Ayn al Furat claims to record the sounds of Israeli bombing of the Iranian base outside of Bukamal. They claim that a convoy of cars was targeted." - @NotWoofers

SOHR says last night Israel carried out over 18 strikes including against arms depots and military positions, which killed 5 soldiers and 11 allied fighters.

But like always, there's reason to be skeptical of SOHR's claims. #Syria

Meanwhile @NotWoofers confirmed vehicles belonging to IRGC and Fatemiyoun (Iran-backed Afghan Shi'ite militia) were destroyed in Bukamal in last night's Israeli strikes. #Syria

Another report stating that Pakistani Shi'ite militants of Zainabiyoun and Afghan Shi'ite militants of Fatemiyoun were among those targeted in last night's Israeli strikes in Syria.

This is the fourth alleged Israeli strike in Syria within two weeks, all of which reportedly targeted Hezbollah and Iranian targets.

Pakistani Far-Right Islamist group Jamiat Ulema Islam, led by Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman, has announced an extremist rally against Israel "Death to Israel Rally" in Sindh province of Pakistan on January 21st, 2021.
Pakistani political analysts believe that Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman, who is part of the Opposition alliance against the govt, has called for anti-Israel rally to reinstate his anti-Israel credentials in domestic politics after recently his multiple associates came out as pro-Israel.
At least one former associate of Mullah Fazal-ur-Rehman recently admitted to Pakistani media that he had traveled to Israel several years ago with permission of the Mullah as well as the Pakistani PM at the time, Mr Nawaz Sharif.

PAKISTAN:

Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) says it has arrested a man named Umar bin Khalid for funding Islamic State.

The accused is a student of an engineering university in Karachi and was in contact with terrorists in Syria and Pakistan.

arynews.tv/en/ctd-karachi…
The above news report does not say which university the IS financier Umar bin Khalid belonged to.

But I can confirm that he was a student of Karachi city's NED University of Engineering and Technology. The university has produced several jihadists in past years. #PAKISTAN Image
NED University of Engineering and Technology is considered one of the top engineering universities of Pakistan.

Yet it faces a deep problem with radicalization among its students. So far several engineering students went on to join terrorist groups.

"As Bin Laden and his party headed into Pakistan, much of al-Qaeda’s military and religious leadership went the other way into Iran. This was no accidental development."

"In January 2002, Soleimani directly approved the provision of safe haven to al-Qaeda. By March 2002, the trickle of al-Qaeda operatives into Iran became a torrent when Soleimani’s men were ordered to set up camps on the border to house al-Qaeda terrorists and their families."
"Some groups of jihadists were moved to Tehran, put up at the Amir Hotel, with their wives and children kept across the road at the four-star Howeyzeh Hotel—both just down the street from Soleimani’s headquarters in the former U.S. embassy."

“Iran has harbored Al Qaeda leaders over time and always argued that they were under local arrest but free to move. The 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' applies to AQ leaders in Iran, but also gives them leverage against Al Qaeda activities that don’t align with Iranian interests"
"In the case of Al Masri, the plan was to keep him safe and allow him to operate without U.S. targeting. For Iran’s benefit, they would know what he and Al Qaeda were doing."
"Al Qaeda leaders often moved through Baluchistan, Pakistan into Iran and then into Iraq or Turkey to pass messages. The movements of couriers and leadership were tracked and, in some cases, the U.S. actually picked up AQ personnel in Turkey as a result." - General Frank Kearney
