Here's general cover letter advice since I've gotten some DMs
1. Have a professional greeting. [Dear Hiring Manager] is a safe one. [Wassup biznatches] is one I wouldn't recommend
1/3
2. Introduce yourself, talk about your skills briefly, and why you want the job in the opening of your letter. DON'T go off on how the price of Pokemon cards has risen.
3. Connect your previous job experiences to the role. DON'T just list all the things you've ever done.
2/3
4. End your cover letter with appreciation and perhaps a call to action. DON'T threaten, make assumptions, or be demanding
5. Make sure all your personal info is correct (address, phone number, email). DON'T instruct me to contact your assistant.
3/3
BONUS:
I just read a cover letter written in Neon Pink font. Yes, you want to stand out. No, that is not the way to do it. Readability trumps being "memorable".
