This world is not perfect. It can never be.

That's the whole point of the need and the promise of a perfect one hereafter.

To reject the promise of the better hereafter, the bliss of eternal fellowship with God because of resentment of this imperfect one is double suffer-head.
Romans 8:18-23
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to-
- futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs-
- together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

So you see.

This world is painful But a better one is coming.

Don't lose twice.

Some thoughts on prayer.

The reason why prayer is necessary to make God's power available in your life is none other than the phenomenon of "permission".

As free moral agents created in the image of God, God needs our permission to do things in our lives. We have a measure-
-of sovereignty. Even salvation does not come except we permit the Lord to give us His life and fellowship with us.

In prayer, you fellowship with God, submitting to Him. This gives permission to His will in your life either directly in your supplication or indirectly as you-
-submit to Him. Worship is submission. Prayer is worship.

This is why men of prayer see the will of God in their lives much more than the absent minded, independent believers.

It is why praying in the spirit stands apart from most of our Christian conduct. It is your-

The very least I stand to gain by my faith in Jesus is a good life on this earth, a pure conscience, a community of people with good values.

The most I stand to gain is an eternity of bliss with my savior, God.

The most I stand to lose, absolutely nothing. Like, nothing.
You atheist, at the most stand to enjoy a life of pleasure on this earth, no different than the pleasures a well taken care of dog or wild animal enjoys.

At worst you stand to lose the peace that only faith brings PLUS an eternity estranged from the bliss of fellowship with God.
Atheism has nothing to offer me.

Your arguments are dry.

Your interpretation of the evidence of God's general revelation in nature and interpretation of His special revelation in Jesus saddens me and I only pity your blindness.

The ferocity of your insults and abuses...

Seems like when churches grow big and get much wealth and influence, it's leadership becomes corrupted by the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life.

Spiritless dogma starts, values change as the motivation of disciples to rise in the ranks change, politics begins
You can trace the institutionalisation of horrible bevahiours and politics in the early Universal Christian church to a few decades after Constantine made Christianity a licit religion and began to support it.

It was after that point in history that all the horrible things you-
-have heard about the Catholic Church actually began.

Before then it was all martyrs and passionate debates about doctrine and especially about the nature of the Trinity.

After the 3rd decade of the fourth century, the church became really rich and powerful being supported by-

There is a pain of just letting go of all the hurt that a spouse has caused without getting the SATISFACTION of retribution.

There's a pleasure, a sweetness of winning the argument, getting them to see they were wrong, letting people, your kids, see how you're in the right.
Those two are the major reasons why two seemingly good people will just not have a good marriage.

You'll meet Two people whom, outside the marriage, seem like such nice christians who just keep having problems with their spouse and when you talk to them they're always both right
Those two things are very hard to shake off.

The ability to be truly forgiving, sincere, kind is very difficult.

They are things that only those very close will feel. Outsiders and colleagues won't feel it.

They'll swear by heaven that you're the best thing since sliced bread.

Something I've meant to say but can't on twitter because of the nuance.

I hope to do an IG live on it.

But I'll definitely touch on it in this meeting.

1 Chronicles 22:7-8
And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the LORD
-my God; but the word of the LORD came to me, saying, You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight.

God wouldn't have David's violent hands build the temple.

Even though we-
-know that the temple was a shadow. God wasn't really in there.

God makes it unequivocally clear that violence did not please Him.

Violence could not be ASSOCIATED with His temple.

This is deep.

In the old, there is judgement and there's men carrying out their violence.

Here is the crux of the matter.

Men want a God made in their image.

It's the core of the Atheists grouse, that God has not made the world in a way that he prefers.

It is why the Greeks continued unfazed with their paganism after Aristotle suggested that there was an eternal...
...entity running things by eternal laws.

No matter who you are, a theist or not, I would like you to understand this.

IF there is a TRULY a GOD not gods, a maximally great entity, then you must accept that there will be many things that He does and thinks that don't suit your-
-preferences.

Your arguments can't be based on how God makes you feel.

You have to accept that He has the right, if he exists, to do according to His pleasure.

You also have to accept that He knows more than you do, that you will not completely fathom His WORKS.
