Meanwhile, in Missouri, the MO House Ethics Committee wrote a report wherein they determined that Democrat State Rep. Wiley Price obstructed their investigation into sexual harassment allegations and threatened a legislative assistant who was a witness in the investigation.

1/
Representative Price refused to resign and a vote for his removal was held.

Unfortunately, it was Democrats who failed to hold one of their own accountable for ethics violations. Not one Democrat voted for his removal (that I saw).

Wiley was censured but retains his seat.

2/
Missouri is a one-party state.

And it needs to be said that the amendment to remove Representative Price was put forward by a Republican Party that refuses to hold its own members accountable for things like--participating in last week's terrorist attack.

3/
That's why it is crucial that Democrats hold all people--including themselves--accountable.

Any legislator obstructing investigations + threatening subordinates is not a public servant. He should resign.

Shame on the House Democrats who prioritized party over principles.

In 2006, the FBI delivered an intelligence assessment on how white supremacists infiltrated law enforcement.

The alarming report disclosed that those already within law enforcement volunteered their professional resources to white supremacist causes.

🧵 Image
One of the report's key judgments is that "white supremacist presence among law enforcement" is concerning because they could provide access to "elected officials or protected persons, whom they could see as potential targets for violence."

2/ Image
There were documented cases of white supremacist leaders acquiring sensitive FBI information.

Dear Senator Hawley's Staff--

I'm sure you're loyal to your boss, but this man incited violence and you helped him. There is no "following orders" defense that will save you. You are part of this now.

And it is so much more serious than him simply "raising concerns."

Prior to November 3rd, Joshua had nothing to say about Pennsylvania's vote by mail legislation.

In fact, Joshua didn't have squat to say about election integrity either.

What is happening on the floor of the United States of House of Representatives is tragic.

Tragic because it was preventable. Tragic because most of the Republicans in the House are themselves brainwashed into believing that this is all *just politics.*

I take no joy in supporting impeachment against the President.

In fact, it pains my soul to know that the Commander in Chief launched an attack on his own people, on the People's House, on democracy.

It is tragic.

Our checks and balances have failed.

Our institutions of justice have failed.

The only power that has not failed is the power of the American people. We voted and we won.

And that's why Trump attacked it.
