Okay, I think I've got a solid-enough skeleton for a D&D campaign set in a world based around Ancient Greek/Roman societies; gladiatorial tournaments, gods intimately involved in the affairs of man, limited technology but with magic being relatively commonplace.
Who's in? :)
@S_Devil_? Want to dive into a world where you could fight to earn the favour of the gods in the colosseum? Delve into the intrigue of Ancient Roman politics/high society? Undermine the stability of the empire and join the barbarians at the gate in tearing it all down?
@EldritchW1tch, how about you? Afraid it'll be a primarily human world (dinosaurs, sure, but tieflings/equivalents won't be commonplace enough to justify a PC) but there'll be plenty of trouble to get into, nonetheless ;)
@PunishedInsani1? I know you're usually busy but I think you could bring a wonderfully chaotic element to the campaign; drive the gods up the wall? :P
Y'know, @Purple_Pilgrim8, if you can find time away from selecting and placing the next Noriega out there in the world I'm sure there'd be room to set up a puppet gov't or two on the outskirts of the newly-consolidated Romanesque empire XD
I've got a feeling any party could use a frequently-wine-fueled (no mead, sorry) knife-wielding chef...
...@Wild_Tanuki, you up to the challenge of helping a bunch of risk-loving adventurers not starve or die from any other worldly perils?
@1BasedMechanic... I dunno, um... Britbong reasons? Maybe we can find you some trouble to cause in neo-Londinium
To be fair, I think the back alleys and arenas of the empire would make for a nice break from all the blade-involved violence of present-day Continuum...
Note to all, yes, I'll be using the Latin names for the various weapons/armor/items insofar as I can find them and some items may not be available given the technology of the world but there'll be a glossary provided :P
I'm a merciful DM, I promise lmao
...present-day Londinium*
...Minotaurs*, sure...
...don't think I'll be including dinos :P

Acts of terrorism were committed by individuals during the Jan. 6th Capitol Occupation; roundly condemned by everyday citizens & lawmakers, alike, law enforcement was praised by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and Congress impeached the President for 'incitement'.
I can say this because I'm aware of the definition of terrorism per 22 USC § 2656f(d)(2) and the supporting definition of "violence" derived from 18 U.S. Code § 16(a).
However, by this same standard, the 2020 US Riots involved hundreds, possibly thousands of acts of terrorism.
Despite meeting the US Code's definition of terrorism the response was vastly different; accepted, even encouraged by everyday citizens and Democrat lawmakers, law enforcement was demonized for any use of force and the Dems who spurred it on suffered no professional discipline.
Seeing a lot of people claiming they don't understand why a female protagonist doesn't fit in a game centered around acts of violent crime in the United States.
To those individuals I present "Sex Differences in Crime in the United States."
18-year-old #DeonKay -reportedly pictured in this video uploaded to Instagram- was shot and killed by the @DCPoliceDept during an incident, yesterday where Metropolitan PD Chief Peter Newsham stated: "We believe the suspect had a gun at the time" and a firearm recovered at...
As such, I think it's important that we look into a few numbers:
~6% of the US population are Black men
~50% of murderers are Black men
~90% of their victims are Black
~45% of murder victims are Black
To be clear, that's murders; not all homicides are murders; unjustified homicides; 2600 in 2018.
There were, by contrast, 259 Black Americans killed by police in the same year, INCLUDING those that were armed, fighting with the cops, etc; justified shoots.
10x more Black Americans murdered by other Blacks than there are Black Americans killed by police in a given year, including those killed when the police had indisputable justification for using deadly force.
So, if you really care about Black lives, where would you start?
