If Elon Musk goes through with his threatened LOLsuit against Media Matters, it will be the greatest possible gift he could have given them - while ensuring the further destruction of Twitter /X advertising revenue.
Anyone with a basic understanding of libel law knows Musk has no case.

He would have to show that MM completely made up the results of ad placements out of thin air.

His statement totally sinks his case, acknowledging MM results were accurate - only claims they were selective. Image
Media Matters has a very high probability of defeating Musk's case on an initial Motion to Dismiss, which represents a relatively short, and very affordable legal case for MM.

If MM's MtD is granted, Musk would not receive any discovery whatsoever.
