We took on NYC and prevailed.
I was an expert witness for this case.

Mandatory testing in NYC for in person schooling will be moved to voluntary testing with informed consent.

childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/new-y…
I should clarify..
I received zero contributions/reimbursements or currency of any kind for my work as an expert witness. All voluntary....Like the tests.
It appears the State made an announcement on Wednesday and the City is fighting it... so it is not over yet.

But each step in the right direction is worth public attention.

EUA tests cannot be mandated according to the FDA.
For some statistical humor-
This NY testing plan was to test 20% of 1M students every week with a 2-4 day TAT test.

Of course, the kids would have zero interaction while waiting for the results and the DOE refused to let the parents organize their own tests or get a 2nd test.
When the DOE was pressed on why parents couldn’t get a confirmatory test at a faster testing center, they claimed that would likely consume the rest of their 14 day quarantine so what’s the point?

So they want a test no one can audit.
Paid for indirectly by taxes.

Boondoggle

Evidence of rigged Peer Review @Eurosurveillanc
@PlanetWaves
@Bobby_Network
@RetractionWatch
@goddeketal
Admits to being the reviewer of the Corman-Drosten Retraction request.

This is 60+ pages discussing Primer Dimers and other primer design problems.

But he just said he didn't look at the primers for this assay??

That is why Anon Peer Review is a Fraud.

@RetractionWatch
Bustin vs Andrew Wakefield.
Bustin testified under oath about the problems with Andrew Wakefields RT-qPCR. This is a big case.

It shares many of the same problems as Drosten?

OK for Drosten.

Not for Wakefield?

There is a difference.

Bustin was paid 220,000 pounds for it.

The 1st Psilocybe cubensis genome is now in NCBI.
This was sequenced with @PacBio HiFi and assembled with @infoecho Peregrine assembler.

It was annotated with FunAnnotate and RNA-Seq data from Whitehead/MIT (Torrens-Spence et al)

@SethOregon
@psilopedia
We are still working to get the SQN or GFF files into NCBI.
If anyone wants a copy in advance of its release..
Just DM me.

13.4K genes.
Some stats from FunAnnotate.
46.6Mb
32 contigs
3.33Mb N50s
46% GC
13,478 genes identified.
Over 80,000 exons.

We need to reboot science with transparent review.

As you know, @Eurosurveillanc investigated themselves and found nothing wrong.

The public is given no detail on who did the review and what did they consider.

But the whistleblower community is behind us.

Look what they found
Let’s start with the leak of one of the reviewers bragging about how he was a reviewer of our retraction request on @PlanetWaves

He let his woke outrage overtake his reasoning.

This reviewer is also famous for testifying against Andrew Wakefield.

@HighWireTalk
Let’s have a look at the arguments he uses against Wakefield.

If you get lost on this thread, you can just pick up the Corman-Drosten retraction letter and follow along as they are nearly identical.

That’s right. He skewered Wakefield using the same arguments he denies now.

This is good cast from @StephenABustin.
@Eurosurveillanc should listen to this.

I agree with Stephen on most topics in this but I take exception to his claims that our retraction request is an "utter disgrace" while also admitting to not looking at these primers. Lets dig
Here is the cast.

Dr. Bustin is the lead author on a very important paper related to standards in PCR known as MIQE.
It's refreshing to see part of the interview where Steve is open to read new papers and change his mind.
I’m hoping he will consider reading our Addendum to the CD protocol as I think he will also change his mind once some of the details he was missing is presented.
I think he will find the Ethos of MIQE threaded throughout this dissection of the CD PCR.

We have a gorgeous @pacbio HiFi assembly of Psilocybe cubensis thanks to @infoecho with Peregrine and @SethOregon for LC/Seq.

We have also assembled with @sergekoren HiCanu and HiFi-ASM.

This fungi makes many active medicinal compounds.
FDA labels 1 a “break-through” therapy.
Some interesting secondary metabolites can be seen at fungiSMASH.

Terpene Synthase genes are always on the radar of cannabis genomics enthusiasts.

33 contigs.
Damn.
46Mb genome.
Over 200X coverage on HiFi.

The psilocybin gene cluster is contiguous on one contig and it has some secrets not seen before.

More on that in a bit.
