Imagine if teacher's unions had been on the front lines, encouraging their members to go back to work - actually putting our kids first ... the amount of support across this country to pay them more, to truly treat them like heroes would be through the ROOF.
Instead, they've played politics with education, holding our kids' education hostage and making teachers look like self-centered cowards while every other essential employee went back to work.

Teachers, you've got to ditch these unions. They are not your friends.
They aren't helping you make more money or get better benefits. They've been using you for DECADES to line their own pockets (when you get a raise do your dues go up?), and now they're destroying your profession.

You don't need them.

Save yourselves and save public education.

A parent in my community here in VA had to file an FOIA to get the stats on suicide/self-harm in kids 10-19 (secondary) for this school year ... and looking at the numbers you can see why they weren't being shared openly with the community.…
You'd think this would be enough to motivate @DrD_CCPS, @ccpsinfo, @ThomasTaylorEdD, and our school board to get our secondary back in-person sooner than later but nope. For some reason, even though @GovernorVA himself and our @VDHgov have said returning to in-person shouldn't
be tied to vaccinations, we are being told that our secondary has to wait four or more WEEKS before going back so teachers can be vaccinated. Huh, you'd think our district would follow the data, the science, and the experts, but for some reason, they're not.

Could it be, oh I

As much as I hate what @VEA4Kids and other teachers' unions have done to MY family and my kids, I am also glad to be a voice for the parents out there who keep getting trampled and ignored by our school districts and boards to cave to these agenda-driven, power-hungry a-holes.
Imagine if they had just encouraged their ranks to go to work -the amount of respect they would get. The amount of support they would get - you know people like me would be on the frontlines fighting for them to get a raise.

Note, those teachers who are teaching in-person SHOULD
absolutely get a raise and all the kudos for understanding how absolutely essential they really are.

The unions holding our kids hostage for politics? They've all but declared war and the people who will ultimately pay the price are the teachers they've promised to fight for.

Meet Teddy. Teddy has been my 13-year-old son's buddy since he was two. Sleeping buddy, travel buddy, going-to-the doctor buddy ... one of his besties. Welp, on our whirlwind driving trip to and from Branson, MO we stayed one night at the @EmbassySuites in Lexington, KY and Teddy
got left behind. My son only realized it when we were well into West Virginia so it wasn't like we were going to go back and get him. Mini-Foo 2 was very brave and said it was ok if Teddy was gone but I could tell it was not, so I said I'd call and see if they could find him.
I called over the weekend and was informed that only certain people could check the lost and found but as soon as a manager came in they'd check and IF they found him, they'd call me. Welp, there was no call so I assumed Teddy was not found BUT thought I'd check in one last time

September 11, 2001, Mr. Foo and I were working at the same company and were on our way in when we heard the news that a plane had struck the north tower. In my mind I thought it had to be an accident ... my husband was not quite so naive. I remember I had on a white blouse,
because I started fidgeting with the buttons on the front. We went into work to get online and see what was going on, but everything was 'down.' Then we started hearing news about other planes, and hijackers ... when the second plane hit the south tower I was in a conference
room with several others, watching live on television. Many gasped, one woman sobbed uncontrollably. I was in shock. At the time I was working in marketing/communications for a major retailer and we were doing Christmas ads, art, and write-ups. They told us we could go home after

I despised Trump in 2016.
I fought against him with everything I had.
I lost friends over him.
Didn't matter.
He still won.

It hurt.

But it was also a wake-up call.
I underestimated his support.
I underestimated how tired of the Left's bullshit the silent majority really was.
I underestimated how unpopular Hillary Clinton was.
But boy howdy, I really thought I knew.
I was wrong.

It's 2020 and to be honest, I still don't 'like' Trump.
But he did way better than I ever expected.
And the Left is far eviler than I ever realized.
They are terrifying.
Power-hungry, desperate, dangerous, and I hate to say it, but evil.
Far worse than they were in 2020 because they'll do anything to be in power ... even if that means destroying this country and her people.

'For the greater good.'

So this year I would crawl across broken glass
