The thing about European settler-colonialism is: if there's historically been a significant number of non-European colonized people in an area there's more than likely a history of European settlers committing massacres against them.

It's a feature, not a bug.
Why you can't have a class struggle here without engaging the land and colonial question.

There's uh

Some contradictions that need to be addressed to put it mildly.
Someone came in our mentions trying to do oppression Olympics about mass killings but the overall takeaway is not that what has been done to African people here hasn't been horrible, but that similar or related things have been done to every non-European population continuously.
Take the lesson.

Class and anti-colonial struggle is required. Not appealing to the state that allowed, encouraged, and coordinated with this.
How the US empire's living out here while weaponizing colonized people against each other.
Take the lesson.

Trump and specifically what surfaced with him showed we're not as far removed from those times as American mythology makes people believe.

Little known history about Malcolm X: Kwame Nkrumah warned him when he was in Ghana that he was going to be murdered if he went back to the United States. Ghanaian intelligence intercepted US communications talking about it. Nkrumah talks about this in More Letters from Conakry.
Still more evidence that the conspiracy that led to Malcolm X's murder was global in scope. Well beyond the capacity of Nation of Islam.
What the focus on the Nation does is make African people the primary scapegoat for the assassination on some black on black crime shit but it also completely obscures the larger political reasons why Malcolm X was assassinated.

Thread about the bitch-ass NOI-centered analysis of Malcolm X's assassination that is unfortunately dominant at this time because we are tired.
Today is the anniversary of Malcolm X’s assassination and it’s a good time to reiterate that the US government is the primary party responsible for his murder.
As many comrade-elders have said: members of the NoI may have pulled the trigger, but it was Uncle Sam who bought the bullets.

We gonna talk about the petit-bourgeois African women working hard for the racist white supremacist capitalist-imperialist system?

Latoya Cantrell, Lori Lightfoot, Keisha Lance Bottoms, Marilyn Mosby, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Stacey Abrams, Condaleeza Rice, KAMALA HARRIS
Not convinced that it's something particular to their being African women that's causing this to happen because there are just as many sellout African men and increasing number of trans and non-binary sellouts too. What it shows is that capitalism will weaponize any identity.

The idea that African people facing down European colonizers who were invading Africa and kidnapping their neighbors and loved ones during the slave trade just accepted that passively or happily participed en masse makes no sense on it's face.
It's just extremely insidious and deeply ingrained anti-Africanness spread by colonialism and capitalism that got people to believe this.
Imagine someone coming in your house to take your child or your mother by force. Would you be like "cool I never liked them anyway and lemme get a cut"

Then why the fuck do you think millions of Africans did?

Today is Thursday which means there's new writing on the #HoodCommunist. This week, our authors are breaking down the anti-colonialism of Kwame Ture's Free Huey speech, exposing Zionism's manipulation of African movements, and arguing that African women must lead our liberation

'Africa has long been the focus of foreign exploitation of the continent’s land, resources, and people. As everyone knows, Africans find themselves in the Western Hemisphere because of slavery and its exploitation of the labor of those who were enslaved.' 1/2
'But the interest in Africa of those foreign to that continent was not limited to human trafficking. There was an even greater interest in Africa’s gold, diamonds, cobalt, oil, and other natural resources too numerous to list.' 2/2

From @Blacks4Peace:…
'The United States always had its hand in the exploitation of Africa, but it has never been widely regarded as a colonizer. The U.S. likes it that way because it is helpful to its global image as a benevolent justice-loving democratic nation.'
