Thank you all so much for your contributions to TSMP! During the last two weeks, we were able to distribute aprox 40 tents, 50 sleeping bags, 35 tarps, 13 fire extinguishers, 48 canisters of propane, 180 hot meals, and 100+ sack lunches!
We're gearing up to start supply procurement for this coming Saturday's pop-up and could use some funds! Donations can be made via Cash App ($RebellionBabyAid) or donorbox.org/tsmp (Hot tip! Monthly donorbox donations are SUPER helpful for our team to plan ahead!)

If you'd like to do some of your own supply sourcing, here's a list of our priority needs and their costs. You can also check out our amazon wishlist for more needs: tinyurl.com/tsmpwishlist (Hand warmers and propane have been really hard for us to source via local retail!)

Thank you all again for helping us make this effort sustainable. We also want to extend a big thank you to the many neighbors of TSMP who show consistent support, care, and respect to our Unhoused neighbors and our volunteers. See ya next Saturday, baby!💞
CW: Murder by Police, Suicide/Self Harm

Last night, #SPD murdered a man who was experiencing a mental health crisis and exhibiting suicidal behavior. When approached by SPD, he was holding a knife with which he had cut himself.
According to the SPD Blotter,* he fled and was fatally shot when moving towards SPD because "police approached the man and attempted to use a less-lethal tool, but the device was ineffective." This killing comes a week after Greg Taylor was fatally shot by SPD, and ...

... the same day as the reopening of the case of #CharleenaLyles — a pregnant Black woman killed in her home by SPD in 2017 in front of her small children, while experiencing a mental health crisis and holding a kitchen knife. (Her family has yet to receive justice.)
Despite CPC objections, SPD has set a short deadline to gather further public comment. (Go figure.) To help community members make their voices heard, CPC has provided summaries of the drafted policies, outlined in this thread.
(2/15)
In short, SPD's proposed policy changes would allow the department to:
1. Largely continue to use force as they have been 2. Reverse Seattle's crowd control weapons ban 3. Enable SPD to use new chemical crowd control weapons

Here’s a list of priority items and general price range!
If you are unable to get your hands on these things, you can also donate via cashapp: $LaborBlocSea with note “for TSMP” so our teams can source them! 💖✨
Our first thread about John was intended to help protect leftist protest communities from his harmful behavior. Since John’s little stunt at the Capitol during the DC #Insurrection, we have more to talk about.
(1/43)
This is a hella long thread... TL;DR: While it’s still unclear if John's end goal is chaos and confusion or if this is simply a side effect of shameless grifting — it’s clear that he continues to be a threat to protester safety whether he’s on the ground or online.
(2/43)
Frantically cleaning up John’s messes continues to be a waste of time and energy in the nationwide movement for Black lives. So let’s continue to stay ahead of him, establish a national lockout, and wrap up this weird saga so we can get back to work, baby!
We have reason to believe that a likely infiltrator/agent provocateur by the name of John Sullivan, or “Activist John,” is attempting to insert himself in the Seattle protest community.
John has been kicked from the #SaltLakeCity and #Portland protest scenes due to alarming behaviors including grifting/profiteering, self-promotion/clout chasing, sabotage of community actions, threats of violence, and — maybe most disturbingly — ties to the far-right.
(2/23)
In short — John’s brother, James, is the co-founder of a pro-Trump org called “Civilized Awakening,” and has strong ties to Proud Boys — even having spoken at a Proud Boy rally. The brothers’ polarized political stances conveniently bolster the other's public personas.
Travis, a Louisville activist, was shot and killed last night, 11/22.* Kenneth was shot and killed by Omaha police last Thursday, 11/19.
(1/3)
*edit: it was originally thought that Travis was shot and killed by LMPD. Details are still unclear, but this does not appear to be an officer involved shooting.
