Like anyone I've argued with Neera on here but it seems like the sinking of a nominee who put together one of the best team in fed gov't (@dannyyagan, @sharblock, @MichaelSLinden, @TopherSpiro …) and whose think tank pioneered child allowance and public jobs plans is … bad?
I don't think Bruce Reed, the guy who joined Rahm Emanuel in urging Clinton to sign welfare reform when Bob Rubin, Robert Reich, George Stephanopoulos, and Donna Shalala were begging him to veto, is gonna be better than this

More generally we could have an executive branch that, like the judiciary, is composed entirely of boring weirdos who've decided to not say anything interesting for decades lest they give the Senate Judiciary ranking member material to work with, or we could … not do that.
I guess what I'm saying is we need a Bruenig-Tanden alliance in defense of Posters' Rights

.@MattGrossmann is always exposing me to fascinating cutting-edge poli sci research that sends me into an anxious spiral about whether journalism is actually helping matters
(s/o also to @jlove1982 and @queencityprof, very excited to read these!)
.@queencityprof is esp pertinent. I often wonder if I should be spending more time on low-salience, high-importance policies, like Trump admin rules to how deceased donor organs are allocated, or the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act.

But maybe highlighting will just polarize!
