DD thread on $PIPP
“A blank check company focused on defense, government, service and aerospace businesses, complimenting the expertise the management team, directors, and the Pine Island Capital Partners team.”
Pine Island (as many of us already know) has deep connections with the Biden administration, but it’s important to look at the focus of the company, the WH admin, and the companies/partnerships that $PIPP is involved with..
A few notable $PIPP involvements:
Tony Blinken, Secretary of State (advisor)
Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense (partner)
Michèle Flournoy, defense policy advisor (partner)
John Thain, former Merrill Lynch CEO / Goldman Sachs President (chairman)
Just last month the US launched the National AI Initiative Office, which will be “responsible for coordinating artificial intelligence research and policymaking across government, industry and academia.” Below is the diagram explaining the details behind the insignia.
WestExec (a partner of $PIPP) consists of senior national security professionals with experience in defense, foreign policy, intelligence, cybersecurity, and more – and has worked closely with the White House since it was founded in 2017.
Pine Island Capital and WestExec have been strategic partners for some time now (they are listed on their website as seen below), and this is especially important to highlight given the focus of these companies and their clients. Excerpt from NYT: nytimes.com/2020/11/28/us/…
Of those disclosed to the public, WestExec has several notable clients, including Google’s @Jigsaw, Israeli AI firm @WindwardOceans, and @ShieldAITech, a drone surveillance company founded by a former Navy SEAL. The common trait here? A STRONG focus on artificial intelligence.
“A unit at @Google that explores threats to open societies and builds technology that that inspires scalable solutions.”

Jigsaw is currently using AI and machine learning to tackle many issues facing the open web.
“Predictive Intelligence fusing AI, big data, and maritime expertise to enable Future Forward decisions.”

Windward is developing next-gen maritime technology that could back defense systems for years to come.
“Protecting service members and innocent civilians with artificially intelligent systems.”

Shield AI is working towards creating self-driving systems that can be utilized anywhere. No GPS, comms, of remote pilots required. Will be a huge leap for UAVs and more.
Considering the companies and relationships mentioned, I think $PIPP has has several great acquisition options. I’m confident AI will play a strong role in the future of defense/aerospace (as well as countless other sectors) and will be patiently waiting for new developments..
