I've watched that OSU football player get whooped by the smaller MMA/wrestler guy about 20 times already today.
Street fights always get my attention...for better or worse.
That video is a great reminder, a little bit of training goes a long way. 99.9999% of men can't fight.
Funny thing about life. I got picked on as a kid. I didn't know how to fight, wasn't interested in it, and as a result, I was on the wrong end of more than one brawl.
Then one day I decided I was going to learn how to fight.
No one ever wanted to fight me after that.
I've spent many many years training Muay Thai. I've had several fights, won them all, and even won a few titles.
Not one person has ever stepped up to me since I began training.
Not that I would fight, I would always de-escalate.
But somehow bullies (generally) seem to know.
Big guys get bullied all the time. In fact they make great targets if they don't fight back. Bully gets to look real tough if he can bully a big guy.
@matthewstoller explains how and why the Democrats became what they are today...anti populist, pro corporate, neoliberals who exclude the working class white.
Using Matt's incredible book Goliath as a guide, he and I discuss the trajectory of the Democrat party and its relationship with Big Corporations over time.
The marriage market is broken in many ways. No fault divorce has changed the dynamic.
But there's still a few good logical reasons to get married.
One of them is the desire to retire your wife.
If she's going to stay home and support you while you build, wife that girl up.
When a woman stays home to support her man and the family, she's making a non cash contribution to your mission. She is giving you sweat equity that frees you up to focus more on your goal, which in turn makes everyone happier, healthier, and wealthier. In sum, a partner.
Love is a great reason to spend time with someone.
It's not a great reason to sign a legally binding contract.
Marriage is a mission related decision that should be seen as a transaction.
