My kids are watching the new Muppet Show and it is HILARIOUS. Literally cried laughing this morning watching Fozzie interview @Sethrogen.
Posting this for no reason (*cough* Fox News *cough*).
And also, OF COURSE there should be content warnings on the old episodes. OF COURSE there should.
By the way, they should also be put on ever Despicable movie and Kung Fu Panda and a mountain of others.
No problem with that at all.
And the *new* series is GREAT.
I talk to my kids about this sort of shit all the time. Why anyone would have a problem with a content warning is BEYOND me.
(white supremacy objects to people objecting to stereotyping and racism. that's what Fox is doing.)
(being white supremacist. as always.)
(And also, of course I explained to my kids that babies should not be allowed to play with swords or thrown off a table by a stuffed bear. That interview is still fucking awesome.)

There are people on these interwebs who are mad at me for suggesting that a Congressional hearing into the white supremacist attempted overthrow of the US govt is more important than Tiger Woods crashing his car, and on top of it are saying that if it was Tom Brady I'd care wut
Like I didn't even know the Super Bowl was happening nor who was playing until I saw footage of Tom Brady wandering off a boat drunk.
One kid this morning: "I am so sick of school on the computer and I don't want to do it."
Other kid: "I am not putting my clothes on. I don't care if the teacher tells me I can't be naked on Zoom. If you try to put them on me, I'm going to run around."
Me: "If you go to class naked, you'll get reported to the principal."
Kid: "Fine."
Me: "It's cold this morning and you really have to put on your clothes."
This is one of the reasons why the final edits to my book include discussions of why it's not enough to leverage your privilege-- you have to actively work to undermine it, and that's gonna feel like loss given our constant inundation as white people with cultural messaging . . .
