Whelan and Mate constantly lie that Whelan was sidelined for political reasons. He was disagreed with for scientific reasons as the letter says. Grayzone embarrassingly has the letter up on their website. The letter proves scientists agreed with Bellingcat's experts, not Whelan.
The fact that the letter was not sent is irrelevant. The version that was sent had the details redacted because they are confidential to the investigation.
The letter Whelan received, in combination with the draft OPCW experts wrote, makes a mockery of Mate’s theory of an international conspiracy.
This is why Aaron’s extrapolations based on an increasingly clear set of circumstances involving a minor disagreement would never get past fact checkers.
If Mate had stuck to the facts, that there was a disagreement over the theoretical possibility of a false positive instead of spinning tales about false flags, and disparaging rescue workers, he could have had an interesting story
Mate has covered OPCW leaks for years while dishonestly omitting the fact that Wikileaks own documents show the OPCW found that claims of staging were completely unsupported by evidence.

Secular Talk fails to identify man with painted face wearing fur and horns as Qanon, and says: I called it diet coup because in order for it be a coup, you have to have some members of the military, at the top, coordinating where there's actually a real chance of it working.
Kyle Kulinski doesn't think it is an insurrection, he calls it a diet coup. Grifter Krystal Ball is actually to the left of him on this. I am sure this will get memory-holed and Rose Twitter will go back to stanning Kulinski...
Bhaskar Sunkara falsely blames Bill Clinton for right-wing Oklahoma City terrorist bombing, argues against invoking the 25th amendment on Trump, and denies the coup because it has to be "a organized movement with a program and a plan."
