1/ Diversity in government and business isn't about quotas, it's about INCLUSION.

When certain groups of ethnicities, socioeconomic classes, genders, etc., aren't represented, any decisions made by an organization inherently don't include those groups' perspectives.
2/ This means that any groups not included in the decision-making process are inherently un- or underrepresented.

Not only is this not equitable for our society writ large, it ensures that un- or underrepresented groups will be disenfranchised from the laws or products...
3/ produced by those governments and businesses.

Diversity isn't about disenfranchising majority groups. Quite the opposite, diversity is about NOT disenfranchising minority groups.

This is a win for the majority groups, not only in the simple sense that they will have a...
4/ better society, but also that they will have more productive and profitable institutions on which to rely on.
