1/ Diversity in government and business isn't about quotas, it's about INCLUSION.
When certain groups of ethnicities, socioeconomic classes, genders, etc., aren't represented, any decisions made by an organization inherently don't include those groups' perspectives.
2/ This means that any groups not included in the decision-making process are inherently un- or underrepresented.
Not only is this not equitable for our society writ large, it ensures that un- or underrepresented groups will be disenfranchised from the laws or products...
