Akutami-sensei was inspired by Zaraki Kenpachi (BLEACH) when he created Todo's character. he's named as such because it sounds like a strong name.

Akutami-sensei just straight up confirmed that the false memories that Todo and Choso experienced aren't part of Yuuji's abilities or any kind of technique

Akutami-sensei: the false memories aren't foreshadowing or reference to any technique. Todo and Choso both see the memories that never existed for different reasons.

Akutami-sensei: the Panda vs Mechamaru fight is one of my favorites because it's a clean fight with a clear victory and defeat

Akutami-sensei: I haven't decided on what Hanami's domain expansion will be like yet

guess there's no point in that now lol

Akutami-sensei is fond of the opening illustration for chapter 46 with all the cursed spirits lol he drew it but forgot that cursed spirits wouldn't show up in photos

omg lmao Akutami-sensei just said Geto is an homage to Sensui and that he was emotionally invested in Sensui...but couldn't bring himself to feel the same when depicting Geto

the lines under Yuki's eyes are just tear lines/eye bags, they're not related to the lines under Yuuji's eyes

Akutami-sensei: I think the things we saw Toji do in the flashback chapters added a depth to Megumi's character

Akutami-sensei: Gojo's business trip overseas before the Goodwill Exchange event was to see Okkotsu

Akutami-sensei: Niita-kun (Arata) and Niita-chan (Akari) are brother and sister so there may be more on that connection in the future

Akutami-sensei: I'll definitely draw Itadori's parents at some point. it'll involve Noritoshi Kamo and Choso also

Akutami-sensei: Sukuna's ending is still up in the air. I've already decided on Itadori and Fushiguro's endings

Akutami-sensei: we're over halfway done with the story. it's set to end within the next two years
