Tired of losing talented D politicians to relatively minor personal indescretions.
The only time we should care about this stuff is if it can be used for blackmail or extortion.
Blackmail is biggest risk for moralizing conservatives, who have built whole reputation on "family" values against gays, against drugs, against sex outside of marriage.
Practically all moralizing Rs are wicked sinners, though, so they all help each other cover it up. And cover the blackmail and extortion which results. That's a big power of Trump.
Most "conservative" institutions rely on the continuing cover up of horrifying sin ... it's a lifestyle ... a feature, not a bug.
So send me a memo if a Dem enables mass sex attacks on his students, or is enables sedition, or gets $500,000 from Turkey while WH NSA, or is a known KKK sympathizer, or changes policy to hide secrets.
Until then, STFU @NYT and all the rest of y'all that are covering for a zillion sinning Rs.
