The Seven Hermetic Principles and their applications in daily life. [Thread] Image
Hermetic Philosophy is based upon these 7 principles

1. The Principle of Mentalism.
2. The Principle of Correspondence.
3. The Principle of Vibration.
4. The Principle of Polarity.
5. The Principle of Rhythm.
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect.
7. The Principle of Gender.
1. The Principle of Mentalism

"THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental."

Everything that exists today and will ever exist must first exist as a coherent thought within the mind of the creator. Hermetic's teaches that the universe is a mental construct of the Creator or God Image
Applying mentalism in your daily life takes practice just like everything else. Keeping a sharp eye on your mental state is where you begin. Your mind is a magnet whether positive or negative you will either attract or push away what you want or do not want. Thoughts and emotions
2. The Principle of Correspondence

"As above, so below; as below, so above."

The mind perceives all including your subconscious mind, which is the microcosm to your bodily macrocosm or vice versa. Image
Understanding that our material plane exists right along the spiritual one can help the willing soul move in a more harmonious manor through life. Staying closer to nature as a material human can help guide the soul within just like the roots of a tree help guide the canopy above Image
3. The Principle of Vibration

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.

Nothing is ever truly resting. That phone you're holding is not solid at the molecular level.. believe it or not it is vibrating at a certain frequency. Everything is in motion. Image
There is no lie in nature and no truer words were ever spoken. The study of cymatics and the work of Dr Emoto has broken barriers between consciousnesses and our perceived reality. Words have meaning and bare certain frequencies. Essentially it means.. Don't be a dick.

4. The Principle of Polarity

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." Image
Night & Day, Love & Hate, Hot & Cold, You & Me.

All but different sides of the same coin.
with good comes bad and bad comes good. Be aware of the shift from either side and stay focused on the potential positive outcomes. Image
5. The Principle of Rhythm

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." Image
Understanding that your emotions and thoughts can swing back and forth like a pendulum helps create the knowledge that they are one. When negative thoughts arrive know they will leave as quick as they arrive if you so choose to change it. Ebb and Flow is nature breathing. Image
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." Image
Many already believe this principle exists but call it by its other names; Karma, The Golden Rule, etc.

Do good and you shall receive the same in return. Be kind to those around you not that you shall receive riches in return but because it is the right thing to do.

7. The Principle of Gender

"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes." Image
Again there is no lie in nature. Everything in nature is balanced through gender.

Everything has its masculine and feminine aspects including our own brain structure. Balancing both aspects is key to harmonious living within and without ourselves.
The 8th Principle.
