PREVIOUS BIRTH OF RADHA'S PARENTS.

Once Narad ji inquired about the importance of Kalavati(Mother of Radha) to Shri Hari as Vishvakarma had come to build a new house for Radha's Parents. So Shri Hari informed him that Kalvati was the Maanas kanya of Pittra's Image
who was now married to Vrishbhanu. Radha was their daughter. Then again Narad was eager to know that how a ordinary mortal of Brij had the opportunity to marry such divine person. So Shrihari narrated the entire history.
Previously Pittra's had three daughters i.e Kalavati, Ratnamala and Menka. Ratnamala(in Many text she is known as Sunaina) married Janak and was mother to Sita. Menka(In Many text she is known as Maina)was the mother to Parvati. Kalavati married King Suchandra.

THREAD ON SHAKTI PEETHAS

Previously we read that Daksh insulted the divine Garland given to him by Durvasa and as a result he behaved negatively towards Shiva and Sati.

It was due to this negativity that Sati jumped into the fire.
This angered Shiva. His anger had a terrible impact all around. Virbhadra, Bhadrakali embarked on a destruction spree. Brahma and Vishnu had to intervene and had to stop the destruction.

But then Shiva carried the burnt body of Sati on his shoulders and
started roaming over the entire universe.
It was to stop the further destruction that Vishnu aimed his arrow towards Sati's body in such a way that it fell down into pieces. Wherever the pieces fell, it became a Shakti Peeth. Below are written the place the piece fell and

TRADITION OF PLAYING COLOUR(GULAL) IN HOLI MENTIONED IN SCRIPTURES

Now i am sure many Librals/Communists will come and ask you that playing colours is not mentioned in scripture. Here is the reference from Garg Samhita abt Colors. Please show this Thread to them. So lets start..
It says that Radha's sakhi's inform Radha about Bhagwan Krishna's arrival in their village Barsaana for Holi. They then go on describing his looks, attire and demeanour and insist Radha to come with them.
When Radha agrees, they all go together singing and sprinkling abir and GULAL everywhere. When they see Krishna, the sakhi's go and start colouring his face. Krishna's leela makes every sakhi feel that Krishna is exclusively playing Holi with them.

WHY DID KING DAKSH BEHAVE NEGATIVELY TOWARDS SHIVA AND SATI.

It was actually the shakti form of devi which took birth as Sati in Daksh's house who acquired this name due to her satya swarup.

Everyone is aware of the story as to why Sati jumped into the Yagya fire.
But there is a story behind the reason for the negative behaviour of Daksh.

It so happened that once Rishi Durvasa went to Devi Jambunadeshwari and after her darshan recited the Mayabeej mantra. The devi happily gave him a divine Garland. Durvasa happily accepted it and left.
On his way he met Daksh who was eager to get the divine Garland. He requested the Rishi to give him that Garland. Knowing that Daksh was a good person, Durvasa gave the garland to him.
