Samantha Jones CEO of Operose Health, the UK arm of US health giant Centene, has been appointed as Boris Johnson’s health adviser.
Private Eye revealed that one US giant had taken over 37 London GP practices, adding them to the 22 primary care services it already runs in the UK.
Operose Health is the UK subsidiary of American health insurance giant Centene Corporation, whose revenue in the US was $111B in 2020.

It now has control of the NHS-funded contracts to run the surgeries.

They came for the Junior Doctors, the nurses, the teachers, (the victims of Windrush will tell you this is nothing new). Ask those who have spent 5 years campaigning for justice for Grenfell. You are most valuable to the government as hate figures. As those to be “othered”.

Mad isn’t it. @RishiSunak cocks up royally and loses £11.8B in fraudulent Covid loans… and now we are basically bailing him out with almost the exact amount added to National Insurance.
Remember this when we are told that “we can’t help” the most vulnerable with the cost of living crisis

Britain. We need to talk. During WW2 The Kindertransport brought thousands of refugee children, the vast majority of them Jewish, to Great Britain from Nazi Germany. We celebrate this empathy. But now we block life boats saving desperate people from drowning in the channel. (1/6)
Despite the media narrative last year Britain took less than 0.026% of the worlds refugees. In comparison to our 20,339 Germany took over 1,000,000. (2/6)
Dehumanising people fleeing wars often due to our bombs destroying their countries is the worst kind of atrocity. It is a stain on the sacrifice made by generations before us to rid the world of fascism. (3/6)

It’s time we taught British people, in British schools, about what the British Empire did in Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Yemen & Afghanistan. It’s hard to impossible to understand what going on in the Middle East without knowing the colonial roots.
British people do not get taught about our role in the opium trade in China, massacres in India, the killing on mass of Aboriginal Australians until very late on. Many therefore never know of our colonial imprint on the wold & conversely why the U.K. has such a diverse population
This surely lies at the core of the cognitive Dissonance. We don’t know our past. Current events are seen through a populist/nationalist prism. Morally bankrupt politicians use this to their advance & cynically apply Nationalist rhetoric effectively.
