In the mid-1970s, at a historic low point in American Neoconservatism, the CIA began a major campaign to turn corporate fortunes around. They did this in several ways. First, they helped create numerous foundations to finance their domestic operations.
Even before 1973, the CIA had co-opted the most famous ones, like the Ford, Rockefeller and Carnegie Foundations. But after 1973, they created more. One of their most notorious recruits was billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife. In WEII, his father served in the OSS, the first CIA.
By his mid-twenties, both of Scaife's parents had died, and he inherited a fortune under four foundations: the Carthage Foundation, the Sarah Scaife Foundation, the Scaife Family Foundations and the Allegheny Foundation.
In the early 1970s, Scaife was encouraged by CIA agent Frank Barnett to begin investing his fortune to fight the "Soviet menace." From 1973 to 1975, Scaife ran Forum World Features, a foreign news service used as a front to disseminate CIA propaganda around the world.
Shortly afterwards, he began donating millions to fund the New Right. Scaife's CIA roots are typical of those who head the Neconservative foundations.
The political machine they built is broad and comprehensive, covering every aspect of the political fight. It includes departments and chairs in the nation‘s top universities, think tanks, PR firms, media companies, fake grassroots organizations that pressure Congress.
This cannot be said often enough, the Neoconservatives and subsequently the CIA work for America’s biggest corporations. The CIA helped create the think tank movement.

After years of observation, I have come to the firm conclusion that a form of Operation Mockingbird has been operating in the media since 2013. Maybe the original CIA program never ended. But, the media has unquestionably been churning out government propaganda for seven years.
I have written about this extensively. A few years ago I came to the initial conclusion that the CIA was in complete control of the American media (and social media). I held off making such pronouncements. Today I place hand on Bible and swear to it.…
Read up about Operation Mockingbird. It is not a conspiracy theory but a very well documented fact.

Anyone with a cursory knowledge of American history knows the U.S. intelligence services are not above targeting their own citizens with covert action. The CIA employed a journalists to spread disinformation during the Cold War under a program known as Operation Mockingbird.
Then there was the Reagan Administration’s attempts to crush “Vietnam Syndrome”— the reluctance many Americans felt in supporting imperial adventures abroad after the failed Vietnam War—through the use of state propaganda on the American people.
Though the law at that time forbade direct propaganda efforts directed at the American people, President Reagan signed National Security Decision Directive 77, which created a propaganda unit within the National Security Council.

Ron Paul: Why Is Biden Administration Pushing Ukraine To Attack Russia?…
“The unhinged U.S. ‘experts’ behind the 2014 coup against the elected Ukrainian president are back in power and they are determined to finish the job —even if it means WWIII! The explicit U.S. backing of Ukraine’s military ambitions in the region are a blank check to Kiev.”
—Said another way, Neoconservative propaganda poses as analysis. Russia is no more of a threat today than it was during the Cold War. A bunch of Nazis “advised” the U.S. government, inflated the Soviet threat out of recognition and profited handsomely from the intellectual grift.

The Neo-Con Attempt to Rewrite the History of World War II, by Wayne Madsen (2015)…
“Among those pushing for increased sanctions on Russia and ignoring its significant role in winning WWII are the sons and daughters of fascist and Nazi Eastern European emigrés who arrived in the U.S. in the years following the war, mostly via the CIA’s Operation Paperclip.”
Out of this constellation of fascists arose the Ukrainian-American Zionist Lev Dobriansky and his daughter, former George W. Bush State Department official, Paula Dobriansky, along with the one-time supporter of the German Gestapo in Hungary, George Soros.

From the 1950’s to 1970’s, the CIA covertly funded leading domestic and foreign journalists from numerous media outlets like WaPo, Time, NYT and CBS to publish CIA propaganda. Operation Mockingbird and was first brought to the public’s attention in 1975 by The Church Committee.
Senator Frank Church, after whom the committee was named, spelled out that misinforming the world was costing American taxpayers around $265 million a year. Some of that cost was wages as many of the CIA’s journalists drew a CIA salary over and above their official media salary.
After the initial revelations, Congress admitted in 1976 that the CIA maintained a network of several hundred foreigners “who provide intelligence for the CIA and at times attempt to influence opinion through the use of covert propaganda.” In 1977, Carl Bernstein reported more.

Ronald Reagan’s acting career was launched by Operation Mockingbird. Then Actors' Guild president, Ronald Reagan, was a screen idol recruited by Mockingbird's Crusade for Freedom to raise funds for the resettlement of Nazis in the U.S.
Today’s Reaganites are essentially Nazis. In 1975, a Senate Select Committee chaired by Senator Frank Church shocked the nation when it reported on its investigations into America’s history of Nazi covert action at home and abroad. But the word “Nazi” was never used.
The committee identified a number of similarities and common patterns in plans to assassinate foreign leaders that took place under the watch of both GOP and DNC admins. The committee argued that the Cold War didn’t change the fact that assassination was unacceptable for America.
