I stand by all the research I do for every podcast episode. Do I sometimes get things wrong, sure, but each episode is incredibly researched. If you can cite your sources that contradict anything I said in the episode, I'd love to see them. Here are the facts as I see them: 1/5
The original release date for Face to Face was August 12, 1966. Ray participated in some sessions the first week of July 1966 to remove some of the sound effects but the final product was submitted to Pye on July 6th. 2/5
Contract negotiations, instigated by Allen Klein who did a lot of harm to a lot of great bands, delayed the release of F2F several times. On October 18th a press release sets the new release date for October 28. 3/5
Lastly, Marble Arch was a subsidiary of Pye records and served as their "economy" line. Pye was in complete control of those releases. You can see the copyright is held by Pye 4/5
Again, I always welcome new insights or valid corrections but, on this one, I think my statements on the podcast hold true and stand up to criticism. Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy more episodes! 5/5
