i have zero object permanence and thats ok /gen
like it sucks but i'm tired of beating myself up for losing things or forgetting people or places. our (probable) adhd and did make it very hard to keep track of our things, people, and places. it's not our fault.
stop demonizing poor memories. they suck, but don't act like a person is awful or unintelligent because they forgot where they put their glasses.
is demonizing too strong of a word? maybe. i can't think of a better one because words are fuckin hard.

my dad who broke a teacher's arm with a car (which i witnessed when i was five) and trapped me in a parking lot, kicking and punching the car i was inside of to stay safe while yelling at me to get out and go with him *was* mentally unfit. 2/4
tw parental abuse

he lost physical custody and for good reason. so, all i'm saying is that parents should be held responsible. mental illness and disability do not mean that neglect or abuse is excusable or not the parent's fault. 3/4
