- if Sinovac is the only vaccine available, take it. You can still get protection from it.
- even if you recover from covid-19, there’s no guarantee you will go back to normal. Many survivors, even young/healthy/athletic people, still suffer its effects.
Financial expenses to consider if you get COVID-19. So not worth the risk.
Long term effects of COVID-19 can include: respiratory problems, brain fog (my aunt who had COVID is experiencing this), depression, muscle pain, heart / lung / kidney abnormalities, headaches
Can you still get COVID-19 after vaccination?
You could still get COVID, but it will be mild. In vaccine trials, there was 100% death prevention. No hospitalization.
The more the virus gets transmitted, the more it will change. The vaccine can still be effective but if more variants emerge, vaccines will need to keep getting tweaked. Best to vaccinate as many people to stop transmission to prevent new variants.
What can we do after we have been vaccinated? 👇🏼
Note: if majority have not been vaccinated, we still need to be careful. Masks, safety protocols. The more vaccinations, the more freedom we will have.
Canfeerming this statement. Don’t wait for other brands. Take what you can get. Let’s get protected as soon as we can.
“Side effects” is your body developing immunity against the virus. These include:
- painful/sore injection site
- tiredness
- headaches
- fever
It’s a reaction of your body fighting.
None of the post-vaccine deaths have been proven to be related to the vaccines. The ones that make the news are the handful of people who died but not the millions and millions who were protected.
Mostly everyone except: kids (still studying that), those with extreme allergic reactions to medication. If you experience allergy to the first dose, don’t get the second one. TALK TO A DOCTOR!
Normally at every phase, developers waste so much time looking for funding, getting approval from board members, looking volunteers. None of these hurdles were present in this pandemic because of the urgency. Everyone is affected.
Be careful what you believe. Lots of people who knowingly share unverified info. Check your sources!! Don’t just believe just coz your loved ones forwarded the news.
Enough said. Protect one another, get vaccinated. Don’t be afraid. You will be causing more risk to everyone else if you don’t get vaccinated.
Walking the talk. She got her shot last month.
Re: Ivermectin
Merck, the makers of Ivermectin, have issued a statement that it is not proven to be effective against COVID-19. They have the most to gain, they could make a killing in sales, but they have issued a statement against using it for COVID.
Will covid vaccinations be a yearly thing? Or will the 2 doses protect us forever?
We don’t know, we are still learning about this. What the research says, we are protected at least 6 mths. We don’t know what other variants will come out. But we know that it can protect us now.
Is it safe to get pregnant after vaccination?
No reason to avoid pregnancy so far. There are actually instances that vaccinated pregnant women passed on antibodies to their babies. Still need more studies but no adverse effects yet.
Pregnant women are at risk of severe effects of COVID if infected. It’s like having co-morbidities. If you are pregnant, please get vaccinated.
It is safe for breastfeeding mothers to get vaccinated.
And that’s a wrap! I’m so grateful and proud that she is a huge nerd who is ALWAYS studying and is passionate about sharing this crucial info with the public. Thanks mom! 💚
Leadership 101 (A LONG ASS THREAD).
I just need to put these thoughts somewhere because I am SICK of seeing the same thing happening every time a typhoon happens. It is insanity to keep doing the same thing and expect things to change. Our leaders have failed us on this.
I now live in the state of Victoria in Australia and the difference in leadership is staggering compared to what I’ve grown up with in the Philippines. After seeing what’s possible in good leadership, my intolerance for the bad kind grew exponentially.
This year, Victoria was ravaged by bushfires and suffered the worst of COVID infections/deaths in Australia. We lost lives but we were able to take control of those situations because of good leadership from our state premier Dan Andrews and his team. How?
