Who Sets Your Benchmark πŸ“–

While evaluating our performance against external criteria may be a good thing, how does it leave us? Are we now on a constant chase to keep up with the "competition" and do as they do, if not better?
One of the areas we short change ourselves is in fully embracing what we carry. While there is a great number of people who exhibit their whole being without shame or fear, most choose to hide their true capabilities and just stick to the script of mass appeal.
We research what the world is doing, where it's going, current trends, and who are the leaders on the scoreboard so that we may emulate what they do. Has it ever crossed your mind that the ones we call trailblazers were once considered crazy for their ideas?
We all carry with us incredible gifts that aren't just spiritual but mostly trade related and meant to advance mankind. We are sitting on ideas because of fear, and forget that ideas themselves are spirit that can leave you and go to someone else who can execute them.
Ever had an idea and never executed it? Few months or years down the line someone else does exactly what you had in mind, to the tee?

Yep, that's it.

It left you and went to someone who wasn't afraid to execute and who wasn't afraid of criticism.
The question is who sets your benchmark if not you?

Often times, we shy away from what we are truly called to because of the overwhelming feeling of being unworthy. While your true purpose awaits, ulima insimu kwelinye ikhaya while neglecting your own "land".
For some it takes a quick word of advice and they listen and do, while others experience the extremities of a loud call on their lives and eventually end up in dangerous, and often times life-threatening, situtations and events.

What are the Apocrypha? :

These are books originally denoted hidden or secret writings. They were reserved to be read only by initiates (Read Ithwasa) into a given Christian group. Comes from Greek and formed from the combination of apo (away) and kryptein (hide or conceal) πŸ‘‡
Christians today say that apocrypha are works, usually written, of unknown authorship or of doubtful origin hence they were chucked out of the final selection of books that made the Bible πŸ€”

The word Apocryphal was first applied to writings which were kept secret because they were the vehicles of esoteric knowledge considered too profound or too sacred to be disclosed to anyone other than the initiated.

The Exodus Nesambulo πŸ“–

Exodus 12:2

"This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you"

Easter, as many have come to know and call this season, is another religious holiday where the Jews and Christians alike congregate in remembrance of the Passover (for the Jews) and the Last Supper before Jesus was betrayed into the hands of the Jews (for the Christians).
I do not recognise and acknowledge the word "Easter", purely because of its origins and how it has no link with the Passover or the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. "Easter" goes back to the name of a goddess in England, Eostre, who was celebrated at beginning of spring.

"DIVINE GRACE" and its misinterpretation | No weapon formed against me? πŸ€”

[A Smallanyana Thread]
We often hear people quoting, out of context, this verse of Scripture:

Isaiah 54:17

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn."

It's great right? Some throw in a loud Hallelujer right there, on cue 🀣
But a few actually quote the entire verse:

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their RIGHTEOUSNESS is from Me,”
Says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

🧠 Just a random thought 🧠

[A Smallanyana Thread]

(........more like a loud thought really)
Scripture is clear: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." (Gen 1:26-28)
Subdue - Bring under control, quieten, overcome.
Dominion - Sovereignty, Absolute Control
Fish of the sea - Literal and Metaphorical (Marine Life in its entirety, All marine trade between nations)
Fowl of the Air - Literal and Metaphorical (Aerospace, travel, and Aero-trade)

πŸ”What is meant for you will FIND you 🌍 | What's your pinned location? πŸ“

[A Smallanyana Thread]
As much as waking up and facing the day is perceived in the same light as going to war, we get constant reminders that not all is lost in the battlefield. The greatest of those reminders comes from various sources but the message is the same, "What is meant for you will find you"
This statement is quoted a lot when we're going through the most but it renders itself incomplete. There are people who go through the same cycle of trauma, due to various reasons, and have now even accepted that maybe "this quality/ level of life" is their fate.
