If you combine the following...

Exhibit A: There is no reliable evidence in favour of masks. Image

Exhibit B: There is clear real-world data that masks have not acted to reduce viral spread.
and combine that with...

Exhibit C: There is clear real world data that the removal of mask mandates have not increased viral spread.
and throw in...

Exhibit D: Asymptomatic Spread (the only real reason for a healthy person to wear a mask) is virtually nonexistent. As Fauci himself admitted last year "Asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks."
and finally add in...

Exhibit E: There are serious potential harms to masks that we are completely ignoring.
...and, if after all that, you come out with some version of "Masks should be *mandated* in various spaces" then I'm afraid you've lost your senses.

1/ What do you think the IFR of social isolation is?

Below is a table detailing the factors most important in reducing your chances of dying, based on Julianne Holt-Lunstad's comprehensive study.

See the fascinating talk on this by Susan Pinker here:
2/ Forget about weight, exercise, clean air or even heart rehab. Social interaction is the number one predictor of longer life with close relationships close behind.
3/ What does social interaction mean exactly?

As Pinker explains:

"This means how much you interact with people as you move through your day. How many people do you talk to? Do you talk to the guy who everyday makes you your coffee?"

1/ I'm definitely no fan of #Varadkar but there's something going on with him when it comes to this pandemic. Here is a list of all the times he has undermined the government's message.
2/ The most obvious was back in July when he openly admitted that they had wildly overcounted Covid fatalities.
3/ Here he is in October highlighting the stupidity of basing restrictions around case numbers which is what was and is happening.

1/ As Australia celebrates "zero-Covid" it is interesting to compare them to Ireland.
Ireland is considered to have had moderate impact from Covid.
1,915 deaths translates to 386 deaths per million and puts us 27th on the list of affected countries.

2/ Australia, in contrast, has had just 907 deaths which translates to a mere 35 deaths per million. Generally, they are considered to have fared very well and are way down in 118th place.

But what if we look at all cause mortality for each country?
3/ For the period Jan-Jul 2020, Australia has a provisional total of 79,878 deaths. Their 5 year average for that period is 79,590.
So, as expected for a country that successfully suppressed a deadly virus, their deaths are close to their average. Just 288 deaths above average.

1/ PCR Tests are really crucial to understanding this Pandemic and what is driving it.
In a way, they explain EVERYTHING.
2/ They likely produce on average 2.3% false positive results according to this preprint.
If you do 10,000 tests, you will get, on average, 230 false positives.
3/ If your total number of positive cases is around 230 (or less) for every 10,000 tests you're doing, which is the current daily situation in Ireland, they're possibly all false positives.
