Pro-Closed School and Pro-Lockdown advocates have put themselves in a moral bind:

In order for them to be a good person, people need to die. 1/4
If exponentially more people don’t die from schools and economies being open versus those being shut, shutdown advocates have to accept that they destroyed small businesses, destroyed education, increased obesity, opioid abuse and child abuse, for nothing. 2/4
Holding a mirror up to their beliefs, and the consequences of their advocacy is painful.

So painful that they’re rooting for death. If no one dies due to an open state- that means not only were they wrong, they will go down in history as the villains. 3/4
It’s morbid to watch others hope children will catch CV19 in school and die, hope that a death will be tied to the Super Bowl, a Baseball game or Disney World, because in order for lockdown advocates to be “good people” others have to die. 4/4

Those of you saying that the media has misrepresented the actual threat of CV19:

The New York Times finally published evidence that you were right.

This is such an important article I’m tweeting the whole thing for those of you stuck behind a paywall.…
“Is bad news the only kind?

Bruce Sacerdote, an economics professor at Dartmouth, noticed something about the CV-19 television coverage that he was watching on CNN & PBS. It always seemed negative, regardless of what was he seeing in the data or hearing from scientists he knew.
When Covid cases were rising in the U.S., the news emphasized the increase. When cases were falling, coverage focused on those places where cases were rising. And when vaccine research began showing positive results, the coverage downplayed it, as far as Sacerdote could tell.

My friend’s sister died of CV-19 last week.

She was 36.

She was also roughly 260 lbs.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if the government had been honest about who CV19 kills and addressed those issues?
Letting the obese die is not kindness.

You are not a “good person” for not wanting to draw attention to that 78% of all CV19 hospitalizations are overweight or obese.

Govmnt should have focused wellness, health and activity but instead enacted policies exacerbated the problem.
Just like ignoring the media continued to ignore nursing homes while focusing on beaches- they’re ignoring the deaths of the obese while focusing on schools, where not a single death has been traced to pediatric transmission of CV19.

If you’re hoping teachers and children die so you can be right, you’re not a good person.
If you’re disappointed that FL has the same success as CA, you’re not a good person.

If you’re hoping everyone in Sweden drops dead so you can be right, you’re not a good person.

If you’re hoping a death will come from Disney World opening- you’re not a good person.
If you are disappointed that the SuperBowl isn’t a super spreader event, you’re not a good person.

If you are actively looking for reasons for schools to stay closed right now in lieu of reasons for them to open, you’re not a good person.
