There comes a time when the threshold is crossed and there is k going back. Thats when the country erupts into full blown civil war and it is too late to stop. No social media post it had I known. The realization of the horrors of war will hit many like a brick wall.
Nigerians cheering on acts of violence in the east, proudly proclaiming imo is gonna be the next Borno. Social media have blinded so many they are walking right into a mine field and they dont care. Some are saying if any "they could bomb bandits they way they bomb IPOB"
People have lost it in this country for real. First they free criminals back into the populace and see it as a virtuous move. We are now competiton with the north for who can destroy the future generation the most because we hate a sitting President. Listening to the likes
..of Omokri and Sowore who are American citizens and have their family's future secure. We are destroying the country and saying thanks to Buhari we are now living among ethnic lines. NIGERIANS have LOST IT. It's beyond crazy. I'm losing hope for this country.
We trying to end the insurgency in the north we are creating one not he South because it's not fair the north has a monopoly of violence. We have the right to start our own mayhem here. Meanwhile the instigators of all this are not even fully resident in Nigeria.
I rest my case. One can only do his best. Sometimes reality have to sink in for people to see the stupidity of their actions and how selfish it is to delibrately destroy the future out of personal vendetta and hate.

I'm making this thread at the request of many disputing analysis of the U.S Navy's advantage in tonnage where it matters over China's advantage in numbers where it matters little . Forty ships is what separates both navies. So let's delve right into it. ImageImageImage
China has two aircaft carriers in service. The Liaoning commisoned in 2012 and Shandong commisoned in 2019. Both Liaoning and Shangdong are based on the Soviet designed Kuznetsov class carried of the 1980s. ImageImage
Shandong or Type 002 is a conventionally powered ski jump carrier and has a displacement (tonnage) of 70,000 tons. China's carrier fleet have a combined tonnage of 110,000 tons. The Liaoning can carry 40 aircafts and Shandong 44 aircraft. ImageImageImageImage

I used to like Fareed Zakaria. I try not to miss his Fareed Zakaria GPS show on CNN. My respect for Fareed wayned when he took offence with Trump saying Nigeria is a beautiful country he will like to visit someday. Now we all know it's just diplomatic niceties. Everyone knows. ImageImageImage
However Fareed went ballistic trying to prove Nigeria is a failed state and Trump is ignorant not to see that. Nigerians aint as educated he claims. But Nigerians in the U.S are the highest earning income group, outstripping Asian and Caucasians. Then began the comparison with Image
Botswana. Comparing a nation of 200 million people to Botswana, a nation of 2 million. This was when I observed for the first time liberal news networks in America are ten times more stereotypical of Africans than conservative media outlets. They are experts at identity politics

American warships have been spotted in two locations. The South China Sea and East China Sea. USS Theodore Roosevelt has entered the South China Sea for the second time in months. China is claiming more than 90% of the South China Sea. Image
China is sending out hundreds of fishing boats manned by maritime militias to sort of clog the area. The South China Sea is the hottest contested region in the world and sending 200 maritime ships to clog the area is nothing but a provocation.
China may want to consider its actions. The U.S Navy is the greatest maritime power the world has ever seen. It's not to be messed with. China hasn't been in a war in over 40 years and havent seen naval combat in more than 100 years. The Chinese Navy will be picked apart ImageImageImage

China has been criticised for quite a long time for its activities in Africa, and the western powers have been looking to stifle Africa's jump at China. But..why do these people get so riled up. Is spending so much money in Africa a taboo or something?
Despite all the noise and fear mongering China has invested hundreds of billions of dollars to support Africa, helping many countries stimulate their economies by building infrastructure. A strong infrastructure boosts a nations productivity. Most of the western worlds
view about Africa is based on stereotype. Our media have done a terrible job at showing how far Africa has come in recent years when it comes to infrastructure. From the view point of western countries China must have an agenda. Let's remember that China was only able to ImageImageImageImage

Besides fighting BHT/ISWAP Nigerian troops are also battling a predictable yet troublesome enemy that has stymied and grounded armored columns, fouled equipment and incapacitating soldiers from operating at their optimum strength. Image
Most Nigerians have never been to the northeast so they have no concept how extreme the weather can be over there. A strong and severe sandstorm can bring the war to a halt in some sectors, turning day into night and
prompting some Nigerian soldiers to tie themselves to their tanks with rope, lest they wander into the blackness and get lost a few feet away. Now our tankers love this, because they have thermal sights, but you cant take away the Nigerian factor of lacking maintenance culture, ImageImageImageImage

THREE PART SERIES.

How did we get here?. Part 1.

The spread of shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles from Libya after the overthrow of Muhammar Gaddafi’s regime has always been a threat to not just military aircrafts, but commercial aircrafts as well.
January 8 2012. The CIA is alarmed by the sudden influx of militant groups into Libya from the MENA region and calls on NATO to deploy troops on the ground to secure Gaddafi's stockpile of arms, which was at that time the 4th largest stockpile of arms in the world.
French President Nicholas Sarkorzy kicks against sending boots on the ground to secure Gadaffis amoury. It will be threading on a diplomatic mine field. NATO will be seen as an occupation force. The should be no boots on the ground. We came to literate not to occupy he said.
