If you watch the actual Chauvin trial and then watch the media coverage of the Chauvin trial, the gap is stunning. The media are paving the way for riots by ignoring the prosecution's difficulties -- and his acquittal is not a remote possibility based on those difficulties.
WaPo headline: "Trial to resume after training officer says an unauthorized neck restraint was used on George Floyd."
This ignores the actual takeaway from the use-of-force expert's testimony.
The use-of-force officer admitted that Chauvin's procedure (use of body weight and pressure) was a LESSER use of force than adopted in the past, that it wasn't a chokehold...
...that use of force standards change based on drug use or physical stature of a suspect, that he had personally restrained suspects until EMS arrived, that some suspects quickly regain consciousness and thus sometimes suppression is necessary despite appearances.

Lies the media have promulgated about DeSantis because they fear his 2024 candidacy:
1. His willingness to allow local officials to open beaches, etc., would lead to massive death (lie);
2. He artificially deflated death statistics (lie);
3. He boosted vaccines for rich allies (lie, he tranched them to the elderly);
4. He allowed the largest grocery chain in Florida to distribute vaccines because he was bribed (lie).
The media are damned liars. They are not bad at their jobs. They're very good at their jobs. It's just that their job is not journalism. It's Democratic Party propaganda.

Totally agree. The Democrats must immediately sponsor federal legislation to force the NBA to redistribute all salary evenly between the WNBA and the NBA. Today. Anything less is full-scale white supremacist sexism.
I don't want to live in an America in which DeWanna Bonner earns just $215,000 for the same exact work for which Stephan Curry earns $43,006,362. America is better than this. WE are better than this.
Total NBA player earnings in 2019: $3.67 billion
Total WNBA player earnings: $10.83 million
This is true injustice and inequity.
This cannot stand.
Lebron, Steph, and the rest of the NBA's social justice heroes MUST act now. Their sexist, capitalistic greed is killing us.

This is nonsense. In America, your chances of being murdered are approximately 1 in 20,000 annually, the majority of those murders occur between people who know each other, and most murders occur in the home.
This is the equivalent of the lie repeatedly and enthusiastically told that black people are under existential threat from white cops in the United States, where a grand total of 13 black Americans were shot unarmed by cops in 2019 in a country with 42 million black citizens.
Mass shootings are acts of evil. Your chances of dying in a mass shooting of the type the media like to cover approach zero. From 2007-2017, there were 495 people murdered in mass shootings. That means 50 people per year, or about 1 in 6.6 million.

If you say "this isn't the hill to die on" about every hill, there won't be any more hills to defend. That's the point.
We are now being told that we must not sound off in opposition to publicly celebrating pornography, hormone treatments and surgeries for gender-confused children, digital book burning, and indoctrination of schoolchildren into the cult of racial essentialism.
Each of these issues is a "distraction." If conservatives were REALLY serious about issues, they'd focus on Democratic spending priorities. How dare Fox News spend time on the Grammys, or the perversion of science, or Amazon banning books, or critical race theory?

The media Leftists have now hit upon a new narrative: cancel culture doesn't exist. It doesn't exist because book burnings are not ACKSHUALLY book burnings. They're just "cultural change." But what if that "cultural change" involves book burnings, as most cultural revolutions do?
Here is example #1, from Chris Cillizza at CNN. He correctly points out that conservatives are now making the argument that "Liberals are trying to cancel long-cherished cultural touchstones -- solely because it doesn't comport with their preferred vision for America."
But, says Cillizza, "cancel culture" isn't happening. No, it's just "cultural change": "What is happening -- in all three of these most recent instances -- is that the culture is changing."

"Now let's take up the minorities in our civilization, shall we? Bigger the population, the more
minorities...The bigger your market, Montag, the less you handle controversy, remember that! All
the minor minor minorities with their navels to be kept clean.
Authors, full of evil thoughts, lock up your typewriters. They did. Magazines became a nice blend of vanilla tapioca. Books, so the damned snobbish critics said, were dishwater. No wonder books stopped selling, the critics said.
But the public, knowing what it wanted, spinning happily, let the comic books survive. And the three dimensional sex magazines, of course. There you have it, Montag. It didn't come from the Government down. There was no dictum, no declaration, no censorship, to start with, no!
