So we're still dealing with the enormity of an insurrection, that a full third of Americans are giving their blessing for. Overt and unacceptable antidemocratic people in the seats of government--while we try to pick up where we left off four+ years ago.
The pandemic has wreaked havoc on us, in every way imaginable. #Howmylifeisdifferent
But more importantly, kind to everyone you know, because even if they're not showing signs of profound messiness--they're probably a mess too. #Howmylifeisdifferent

In a case of, "Thought my thread was going a different direction but forgot this part" I was thinking specifically of the choices in crisis that women make.
Not, "I'm getting an abortion."
More, "If I make any wrong moves, this man will kill me."
The inevitable choices between soothing the ego of your potential killer and fighting.
Weighing the millions of options between that few seconds when you can talk yourself out of a bad situation, or escalating it.
If there was an anonymous poll of women and whether or not they had felt threatened enough that they might not make it out alive, I have to postulate that it would reach an unconscionable majority of us.
In the category "No one asked my opinion," there's a lot of pretty painful deep-dives into being female/a woman/feminine today, spurred no doubt by the gruesome but important @AOC recount of the Jan. 6 insurrection.
There is no small number of men who are jumping into the fray with their own "No one asked my opinion, buts"
And the first observation I have is: however defensive you are is telling.
