As per Kalika Puran 71.5-13, There are three categories of Namaskar,
𝐀) 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐤
𝐁) 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐤 &,
𝐂) 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐤 Image
Where Mansik Namaskar denotes that it is performed in the mind, Vachik Namaskar means by the use of words and Kayik means the use of the body. These in turn can be sub divided into Uttam, Madhyam and Adham each.
𝐀) 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐤 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐫:-
1) As regards to Kayik Namaskar, the one where you spread your arms and feet and lie down like a stick wherein your eight body parts touch the ground from head to toe (दंडवत प्रणाम), i.e regarded as Uttam Namaskar.
