Why do today's Hindutva leaders talk about BRA in such high regard? Along with being in sync with Muslim demands, his constant attempt was to permanently severe the Hindu society into pieces!
BRA never stopped his bootlicking of Britishers in hope of an important position in their government.
Giving him a position in the Executive Council of the Viceroy to play to the tunes of the British was the greatest act of helping Scheduled Castes according to BRA! Clearly he was a megalomaniac who replaced this personal benefit with helping the masses!
BRA was however but one of the pawns in the grand scheme which the British were playing to incite separatist tendencies present in other communities such as the Sikhs.
The same approach was afloat with respect to "Tribals/Vanavasis" as well. The plan was clear:
Detachement from Hinduism -> Easy of getting preys for missionaries --> Strengthening the influence of British in the Indian society throw these converts.
And BRA was a suitable instrument for the British to push their agenda with respect to the Schedules Castes.
Along with BRA other such 'Sepoys' such as Jogendra Nath Mandal, another Dalit leader, proved to be very useful to the British, to put up Indian faces who speak in their convenience in opposition to the national freedom, and helping them further their agenda. @RajivMessage

Since it's that time of the year when Phule couple are being glorified, will be posting snippets from English translation of Jotirao Phule's (JP) work "Gulamgiri [original in Marathi, written in 1873]". The English translation is done by Education Dept, Govt of Maharashtra. ImageImage
Right from the Dedication to this book, JP considers the Indian social organization of castes in India with "Negro slavery" Image
Book starts out by calling Brahmins (specifically using "Bhat" surname) as alien tyrants who came to India and subdued the natives. Image

Interesting incident of former RSS Sarsanghchalak M S Golwalkar. He was as confused & deluded as the current one. Look at his stupidity in believing that Sufis are liberals! Golwalkar imagines a unity of all religions without understanding how radically different they are.
Golwalkar too thinks as if the difference with Islam and Xtianity is of "way of worship".

Simply unable to catch the fundamental antagonism of Abrahamisms with Hindu religion.
Golwalkar arguing with a Congress worker of early Independence times.

We can clearly see that today's Sangh speaks the same language of "because there are thirty crores of Muslims living in this land" !

Balmukund Pandey, the head of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana, another RSS outfit, announced a plan for modifying the Ramayana to weed out verses that are not in sync with the ideal image of Ram.

While other religiopolitical movements such as political Islam, either keep religion superior or at par with politics, RSS/BJP Hindutva make religion inferior to politics. To cater to "subaltern sensibilities" they distort Hinduism as they like.

BRA never actually claimed authorship of the Constitution. He quite frankly admits, most of it is copied with small modifications. He has just been pushed down our throats in order to propagate his poisonous ideas regarding Hinduism, to fracture our society.
It was quite well-known to all the leaders of the time that most of the constitution was based on the Government of India Act, 1935, prepared by British to rule India. In fact, the BRA would have felt vindicated about the continuation of the same. But a sad-fate for Hindus.
A considerable four-fifths of the Constitution was from the 1935 Act. No doubt, the state institutions remain in a colonial hangover in a number of aspects.

The draft constitution was getting formulated in the constituent assembly during July-Nov 1946, and the merger of states was still in progress. During in this time, Pandit Nehru had remarked that it was the individual state's decision whether to continue with monarchy or not.
However, it was tumultuous times for the country with partition and creation Pakistan. The constituent assembly had to accommodate for these changes. The major influence of this was, the continuation of the influence of the Government of India Act, 1935.
Initially, it was contemplated that princely states could be separate Constitutions. But due to the monumental work by Sardar Patel and agreement of the Hindu Rajas in acceding to united India, amendments were proposed to make princely states at part with other British Provinces.

The task of the Drafting Committee, which BRA was the Chairman of, was primarily a "secretarial one" to check if the new draft incorporated and tallied with the decisions of the constituent assembly!
The Constitution was the result of decades of work of several Hindu leaders who were working to create an administrative system for India working within the British government of India. And the process had started decades before the constituent assembly was formed.
Sir Benegal Narsing Rau, a British civil servant who was the constitutional advisor to the constituent assembly, played a pivotal role in the creation of constitution. He prepared voluminous document - Constitutional Precedents, from virtually all major countries' constitutions.
